  2. I know Janel Carbajo and she has been to my home in the past and is a truly wonderful and awesome person. And yes she is a huge Chiefs fan. But if you were to meet her else where you'd never have a clue she was. I have friends who have kids that had her or her husband as teachers while growing up and all liked Janel. I don't care if the Chiefs win this weekend for the most part but I sure hope Janel does win the Ford Hall of Fan this year.

  6. Sorry Republican Senators, you don't get to decide whether the offenses Trump was Impeached for are "impeachable" or not, that decision was made in the House, as the Constitution mandates.

Your only role, which you took an oath to perform, is simply to decide whether or not the act occurred. If yes, then he is guilty, and therefore he IS removed from Office.

If no, then you find Trump "not guilty", and your Party pays any political price in the next Election for your having ignored the evidence.

    2. Ok, 6:55. Name the statutory offenses Trump has committed, and with which he is charged in the Senate.

Sorry to tell you, but in every other impeachment there were actual crimes: perjury or obstruction of justice.

The problem is that the Democrats failed to make their case, which was their only constitutional role. They failed. Now the Senate tries and votes.

Psst--do you still think Trump is leaving office?

      Oh honey.

  10. @7:25 -

    1) Misuse of Office for personal gain, which even Republicans admit happened.

    2) Obstruction of Justice by means of misuse of Office (Executive Privilege).

The House didn't fail, the evidence is clear.

Will he leave Office, of course not, not before the Election. The Republican Majority in the Senate has already made that determination, which by the way constitutes a violation of the Oath the Constitution required of them.

But hey, what's a scrap of paper like the Constitution matter, we're Republicans, not Americans!

  11. 9:02 you idiot.
An impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.
High crimes and misdemeanor simply means, The subjects of its jurisdiction are those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust,” Alexander Hamilton wrote in 1788.
President Bill Clinton was impeached in 1998 on two counts of “high crimes and misdemeanors”: lying under oath and obstruction of justice. The charges emerged after Clinton denied having had a sexual relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky in the course of a civil sexual harassment lawsuit against against Clinton by Paula Jones.
    The Senate acquitted Clinton.
Jonathan Turley, who was called to testify about the definition of impeachable offenses by Republicans on the Judiciary Committee, testified that “the use of military aid for a quid pro quo to investigate one’s political opponent, if proven, can be an impeachable offense,” but that there is not enough evidence to prove President Trump did so.
President Trump’s impeachment is similar to Clinton’s in that there isn’t much confusion as to what happened, but there is a great deal of disagreement about how to think about those events.
