"Lot of heavy hearts on this full moon with the death of Rush Drummer Neil Pert. Don't know how many times RUSH sold out in Kansas City the past four decades but RUSH changed the sound of rock music. Not many Progressive Rock bands had Top 10 hits but everyone remembers Tom Sawyer . . ."
Neil Peart, drummer and lyricist for Canadian rock band Rush, has died from brain cancer aged 67. The musician, considered one of rock's greatest ever drummers, died on Tuesday in Santa Monica, California. Rush, the band he played with for 45 years, confirmed his death in a statement posted to Twitter.
