Kansas City Radio Days Remembered

A worthwhile bit of local history documents the glory days of terrestrial radio and how local entertainment scene once centered around this old school form of communication before the days of wannabeasts pandering for likes & shares with every scroll. Checkit:

Brush Creek Follies | Fountain City Frequency

The Ivanhoe was home to much of the city's musical talent but on Saturday nights it was home to the Brush Creek Follies which originated on KMBC in Kansas City. In the 1930s and 1940s The Brush Creek Follies was one of the most popular radio variety shows in the country and KMBC was a powerhouse radio station.
