KANSAS CITY POTHOLE CRISIS!!!

The streets are NOW OFFICIALLY GARBAGE and tire-killing roads are a reality for local drivers, visitors and anyone who dares to ride down local paths faster than 10 mph.

This is a consistent problem over the past two years that continues to worsen . . . Our blog community and our constant complaining was FIRST to push back against city hall propaganda arguing otherwise . . . Read more:

KC drivers can't steer clear of accumulating pothole problem

It's not just the weather that has drivers slowing down - it's the potholes that are accumulating across the Kansas City metro area. "I drive down View High Drive everyday and it's horrible, the pot holes are awful," Tessa Jansen said. Navigating the potholes is bad enough for drivers, and the snow covered roads is adding to it.

  1. That's the fault of the voters. KC residents voted a racist black man in and he has had numerous people answer the ad for help fixing the streets and because they are white they never even got an interview or call back. People from the burbs that have to go into KC for work, I feel for you, people from KC who voted this loser in, it's your problem. I would suggest people go to the state for help and complaints, otherwise suck it up!

  2. Its ridiculous. The great things about KC have little to do with City Hall. Total joke.

  3. We have years worth of potholes thanks to that fat dumbfuck sLIE, it could take a decade to fix them because he took a shit on the tax payers to build his utopia downtown and the airport, by the way, I heard he is making sure everything up there is super wide so he can fit his giant lard ass in the building! Hahaha!

  4. The problems are:

KCMO is geographically TOO BIG! They need to de-incorporate much of the outlying area. That photo above is on the edge of Lee's Summit, and the KC city limits go all the way south to 150 Hwy or beyond.

KCMO (and County) are both run by incompetent, inefficient, "let's just raise taxes again", Democrat-machine politicos.

  5. The endless banter of de-annexing north of the river is just that, banter. The city will grow by 75,000 people in the near term and 70,000 of the people will be north of the river. The population growth and the economic growth will be north of the river. Yes the city is too large but alienating the areas with increases in population isn't a good idea.

  6. The snow plows cause many if these. People expected too much from the road crews. Stay home let it melt, save the city money. 40 years with all the rear wheel drive cars we made it work. Snowflakes indeed !!!

My wife works downtown. Takes Linwood to 71 coming home. Lots of potholes on Linwood.

  8. The City’s Public Works Department can’t manage money or resources. The pothole problem, and others, belongs squarely at their feet.

  9. 9:55 a.m. Please explain why you think that "alienating" the areas with increasing population isn't a good idea? In fact, please explain why you used the word alienating? We are talking about de-annexation for the north and south parts of KCMO that can't get any services. The city CONSTANTLY complains about too many roads, too many miles, too many of everything except dollars. Allow adjoining municipalities to bid on the areas and become responsible for basic city services. KCMO should shrink to include the areas exclusively in three council districts.

  10. Entertaining at best. Without the people and the money both north and south, the "city" of Kansas City, Missouri doesn't have people and doesn't have money. 40% of the current economy of KCMO is north of the river. 100% of the ego of KCMO is south of the river and north of the plaza. Oddly enough the individuals advocating for de-annexation haven't been north of the river or south of The Plaza for decades. Not to worry, the next redrawing of the council districts will result in 3 districts north of the river.

  11. District 4 will be north of the river... That will be entertaining.

Everything I need can be found North of the river. Miss visiting the WWI museum and the Art Museum, but get tired of having to put on a holster whenever I cross the bridge. NKC is becoming a good entertainment destination and more food and beverage choices are becoming available. Don't have to deal with Jackson County and can dodge KC ripoff sales taxes in Gladstone or Northtown. All in all, would be nice to have a separate city out here. Let KC keep StJo international (the boondoggle) airport.
