It's Monday of the three-day Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, and you'd think the least we could do as a nation to honor his memory is go 72 hours without gun violence. It can't be harder than Dry January or Veganuary. We're not giving up booze or pretending to enjoy cauliflower "steaks."

  1. Hate to agree with Quinton but he's right about calling the police. IF people don't call then they can't do anything. Very simple math here.

  3. Like Gail Beatty said this is just some internet trolls and people tugging on heart strings to get out of paying their property taxes. There is nothing wrong!

  4. It is the hood rats way of celebrating the joining of civilization that was pushed for by MLK. Good job Dr. King yours people have really taken the dream and shit in it.

  5. Just goes to show that if you ignore something long enough, it doesn't go away.
It just gets worse and worse.
Eight years of Sly James and the gang wasting millions of taxpayers' dollars, taken for ride after ride by "developers", pouring millions into nonsense like 18th and Vine because they don't have the guts to say NO, and making believe the horrendous violence and homicide rates in the city are someone else's problem.
And now Sly's a "commentator" and "consultant"?
    Only in KCMO!
    Hahahahahaha!!

  9. Once again throwing out names and the likes isn't going to change anything.

The senseless commits about parties and gun control is simply ridicules!!

Guns have been around forever... Its funny how this supply and demand concept works..lol.. America is the number one consuming nation of illegal drugs! Why? Because people buy them..smh...Felon with a gun? Does he go to a legitimate gun dealer? Hell no! Reason...There are a ton of ways for a felon to get a gun and none are legally purchased.

We have enough laws governing weapons.. How about changing a humans heart and caring about life..smh

  10. Alphonso Hodge clearly is a ghetto gangster ex Chiefs player typical of the National Felon League. He really wasn't even a Chiefs player he was a practice dummy for the real player to knock around. His bar should have been shut down months ago.But he is a black man so they get free passes all the time same as the shooter who should have been behind bars did. The Chiefs bring nothing good to kansas City and never will. Chief players linked to death and violence much to often. Take tyreek Hill as an example his stunt yesterday should have been met with a permanent ban from the league.

  11. Hell to the YES on the 10:28 comment about the Chiefs. We seem to allow them to get away with anything and never be held accountable. Until them Fuck them and anyone that supports Tyreek.

  12. If you watched the police chief press conference yesterday he said there were cops already there and obviously the shooter did what he did. Thank God a felon who wasn't supposed to have a gun obviously was pretty easily able to get one so he could shoot some people. The answer here is more guns obviously. You always want guys just out of prison to easily obtain a gun.
