The work group's final report concluded that more modest steps to increase employer subsidies of transit passes would be more realistic in the near term.

  2. Well, it still cost money to ride the bus in Kansas City. $1.50 better be ready. It’s still all hype and rumor.

  3. The citizens passed a sales tax increase to pay for the "free" buses. The fares consisted of only 2% of the budget; but in Kansas City the fares consist of 10% of the budget. Shall we pass yet another sale tax in Kansas City to pay for the "free" bus?

  5. The earnings tax will cease at some point in the near future. The earnings tax provides some 40% of the revenue for the City of Kansas City, MO. Or in other words, not the earnings tax will not be increased to pay for free buses...
