Career opportunities abound at Job Fair Jan. 11 Solid Waste will be hiring
The City is looking for more than a few good men and women during our Job Fair on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Robert J. Mohart Multipurpose Center, 3200 Wayne Ave. More than 60 positions in Solid Waste Services are available as we gear up to begin citywide trash collection service in May 2020.
“You can walk in and, conceivably, walk out with a job,” said Shannon Dooley, Solid Waste Services marketing and outreach coordinator. “If you’re a hard-working, team player, this is your chance to work for a great team and a great city!”
Specifically, Solid Waste is looking for full-time maintenance workers and equipment operators. Each position pays $14.35 an hour. Equipment operators must have at least six months of experience and possess a valid Missouri Class B CDL. Maintenance workers need a high school diploma or six months of general labor experience. The City of KCMO offers a great benefit package for full-time, regular status employees including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, holiday pay, paid vacation/sick leave, retirement plan, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, long-term and short-term disability, long-term care and deferred compensation plan.
Fair applicants must:
- Bring a valid driver’s license, CDL or other identification
- Complete a City employment application onsite
- Pass a pre-employment, on-site drug screen
- Pass a post-offer physical examination
- Successfully complete a pre-employment criminal history and driving record background check
Anyone with job-fair questions can call (816) 513-3226. The City of Kansas City, Missouri, is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce. Interested parties can also apply online, prior to the Job Fair, at kcmo.gov/jobs.

Good Luck. Byron couldn't pass this test.
ReplyDeleteNo training required. Ability to toss bags and miss, and smash toss recycle bins a plus!
ReplyDeleteMaybe some of yesterday's politicos are still looking for work after their losses.
ReplyDeleteAnybody heard from Justus or Reed recently?
Opportunities abound!
^^Hey retard, my IQ's 129. What's yours?
ReplyDeleteIn fact, what's your name? Education? Occupation? Your hobby seems to be trolling me, which contradicts your implied claim that you're better than me.
Unaccountable anonymous commenters demand accountability.
You're such a coward.
Maybe do some cross referencing with the welfare registry; I’m sure there are plenty of able-bodied government leeches that would be great candidates. Of course, not Byron Fartsmeller; he’s supposedly to blind to see the trash bins.
ReplyDeleteIQ of 129 my ass says.....
ReplyDeleteNobody believes a word you say bLIEron, cnn called and said there’s no way in hell they would print that lie! Hahahahaha!
Byron is a liar and a retard.
ReplyDelete129 my ass ha ha ha GD that's funny. Who ever tested you had to be drunk on their ass that day if you were even tested you lying sack of horse puckies.
ReplyDelete129 is the number of sheep Byron shagged in West Virginia last year.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t know child molesters had an IQ over70 which is less than a subsaharan spear chucking negro eat shit and die fuckhouser you inbred piece of garbage
ReplyDeleteByron, lying isn’t good, even for a retard.
ReplyDeleteapplicants must:
ReplyDelete- Bring a valid driver’s license, CDL or other identification
- Complete a City employment application onsite
- Pass a pre-employment, on-site drug screen

- Successfully complete a pre-employment criminal history and driving record background check
And here is the issue.
The application is completed onsite to determine if the individual can read and write, for reference.
14 bucks an hour to do a difficult job in terrible weather conditions. No thanks.
ReplyDeleteSo much for HR and the PeopleSoft system. Guess the lets a lot of "procedure" off the hook. Good luck to any who do get a job- get ready to work harder than you ever have for lowest pay!
