KANSAS CITY BBQ BUSTED?!?!

A sordid financial tale of cash up in smoke . . . Bitter taste of losing money . . . Unsavory allegations . . . And fiery tempers . . . Check the deets and feel free to leave more bad puns:

Beloved Kansas City Barbeque Society In Turmoil, Financial Distress, Losing Members

A board member under fire for allegedly swindling an Indian tribe in Oklahoma. The organization's $3 million Kansas City headquarters, bought and renovated just a few years go, up for sale. The founder stepping away from day-to-day control. A CEO abruptly leaving after only a few months at the helm.

This society has been a joke for many years. If you all really knew what was going on in there you'd all run and start your own society so you yourself could reap the profits from it to your back pocket. The whole board is guilty of fraud.

Sound like a audit is coming their way

So some con man moved in, took the place over, borrowed from anyone who would lend money, paid himself an outrageous "management" salary, then walked away and left the shreds to fall into bankruptcy!

Sounds "Presidential" to me!

Classic NFP collects member fees. Does nothing. Maybe sends out a sticker to members. Pays the sticker bill, hopefully rent and utilities, and give themselves the rest.

Leaders of KCBS have been arrogant jerks for years. They act like they know good BBQ but you have to cook tough ribs to get a good score. I haven't had anything to do with them since 2012.
