KANSAS CITY 2020 HOMICIDE #3 & #4: MURDER COUNT KEEPS CONSTANT DESPITE ANTI-GUN CRACKDOWN!!!

Last year at this time there were 4 murders recorded by police. Today, KCPD also counts  4 homicides already in the new year and this latest spate of gunfire that also hurt a youngster.

So far, despite a great deal of local media adulation, the threat of gun legislation doesn't seem to be inspiring much change on local streets.

  1. The laws are intended to get guns out of the hands of voters. That was always the point.

  2. Just a guess, but it might have to something to do with the fact that NONE of the "anti-gun proposals" have anything at all to do with addressing the actual homicide problem and its source.
Lots of great press conferences and selfies, though.
But trying to curb gun violence with a big smile and empty words isn't going to get KCMO very far.
A reasonable estimate for murders in 2020 is the usual 10/month with a few doubles or triples thrown into the mix.
    Sad.

The KCMO criminal element has responded in dramatic fashion to Smilin Selfie Q and the city suing their firearm supplier who happens to be a highly decorated KCFD captain using city property to carry on an enterprise for personal gain.
Much like the Mexican cartels the KCMO criminal element does not like government interfering with their livelihood. The criminal element will continue this carnage until the city backs down so they can get on with business as usual.
The criminal element might have to buy off a few more city minions so they have more control over their supply and distribution chain.
