How Will Kansas City & Guv Parson Pay For New Buck O'Neil Bridge???

We switched the photo for this story to an old school toll road shot on the former Broadway Bridge . . . For an answer to our question, KCMO residents should just look in the mirror and search deep within their soul and/or think about local high tax history . . . Checkit:

Gov. Parson talks funding for new Buck O'Neil Bridge

The Buck O'Neil Bridge is almost old enough for Medicare. It's 64.In an interview Thursday, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson said a complex combination of local, state and federal money will produce a new bridge."Some of the money that comes in from up in north Missouri, freed up other money for the bridge proposals.

TOP PHOTO -- KC's RACIAL SPAN

A toll bridge from it's opening in 1956, through 1991, the Broadway Bridge was renamed the Buck O'Neil Bridge in 2016, just in time to be declared "deteriorated"!!!

^^^^Why it was named after Buck. It was a worthless bridge so they named it after some irrelevant black guy. If a few years they will name the streetcar after Mahomie because he too was a overpriced nothing that went nowhere.

Withdraw the property tax exemption for the Star's printing plant off Truman Road. That will free up a few bucks for the Buck.

Would you assholes rather they put in a toll booth or just pay an extra $.05 per paycheck in taxes. Shit, I don't even know why I asked that because I can call the responses now "I never use that damn bridge anyway!".

I remember tossing coins into the collection bin to cross the bridge, like feeding the troll. But I used the bridge and didn’t mind paying for it. I don’t use it as much but would still pay for it, IF the money would actually go for the bridge and not be siphoned off for free bus rides or something equally frivolous.

^^^ and yet you're ok with toll free car rides on all the streets around the bridge. Gubmint teet sucking leach.
