Credit to this local newsie who snagged a TOP RANKING JOB with a Kansas City healthcare company following her departure from KSHB.
"We’re looking forward to welcoming Christa Dubill to Blue KC as our new Vice President, Chief Communications Officer. Christa brings 20 years of award-winning communications expertise and will be supporting our efforts serving as a lifelong partner in health for Kansas City."
Take a look:

Good luck to her. We imagine more newsies will do the same.
Developing . . .
The Matthew Effect.
ReplyDeleteBlue chip figure head, now go get me a donut.
ReplyDeleteI like Christa, but she has no fucking business getting that job. BC/BS was just wanting a "known celebrity" in the role. What experience does she have as a communications/marketing/public relations person, other than having been a TV talking head for years. I can pretty much guarantee that those BC/BS staff who have to report to her are starting to look elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteTV News? - them what can get out done did so.
ReplyDeleteErin Little did this a while back when she moved to one of the local school districts as their PR head, I don't think it ended well.
ReplyDeleteChrista probably got a nice raise out of this deal.
Sounds like a nice boring corporate job fit for a boring person totally devoid of any original thoughts. Always found Dubill to be fake and snooty behind that selfie smile.
ReplyDeleteShe got away from the fat black 'You be racissss" idiot.
ReplyDeleteOld newsies never die, they just move on to become spokesmodels!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth Alex = public affairs director for Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences
Maria Antonia = Bishop Sullivan Center
Chris Hernandez = KCMO City Hall
Mark Alford = Mayor of Knobtown
Award winning my ass another mark on the wall as to why BC/BS is shitty insurance. She fucked this position up at SMSD and she will this one as well.
ReplyDeleteThat was Erin Little at SMSD
DeletePretty much every hospital, school district, municipality, pet shelter, whatever, has a former Kansas City media member as its face.
ReplyDeleteIf you're an anchor, you get the big job that could include a VP title, even if you're not qualified for it. BCBS probably wants CB to use her face to bring in new business.
If you're a reporter, you might get a coordinator position with someone working under you.
If you're behind the scenes, you're probably stuck in a specialist role that pays less than what you made in TV.
9:05 - I thought that was Erin Little that failed at SMSD?
ReplyDeleteI sure am going to mis Christa’s nice tits on the news. She has a really perfect set of tits.
ReplyDeleteThis is one reason health insurance is so high when companies waste our premiums on unnecessary and high paying jobs to help out their cronies.
ReplyDeleteShe is well-connected in the business community and will succeed at this job. Look for her to appear on "health care" native advertising segments on local newscasts, guessing not KSHB, though.
ReplyDeleteThis is why private insurance has to go.
ReplyDeleteBC/BS needs to spend money on covering patients health care costs, not cushy PR jobs for airheads.
It's time for Medicare for all.
Hey Christa and BC/BS, let your members go to Walgreen's instead of that crappy CVS for their prescriptions.
ReplyDeleteDid Blue KC delete this tweet???
ReplyDeleteAre they embarrassed for being called out on this wasteful spending and worthless hire?
^^^How about calling them out for being predatory thieves instead? Private insurance=highway robbery.
ReplyDelete6:45 she probably has a degree in Communications and is quite qualified for the job. Lots of news people do tons of PR/charity work and are well known in the community, they know lots of people.
ReplyDeleteI've seen her broadcasts. She's no communications or news genius.
ReplyDeleteStill, the real question is why does a health care insurer even need to do PR and have an entire department to do it??? How many doctor visits could be paid for with her salary?
They should be covering health care costs. Period.
^^^ I think you uncovered the first PR problem she can tackle.
ReplyDeleteA degree in communications or journalism and the ability to read a teleprompter is not a dynamo combo for this kind of high-level role. Where is the experience in leading a communications team in reaching corporate goals? She must have friends in high places, making it true that it's not what you know, but whom you know.
