CORPORATIONS IN KANSAS CITY & ACROSS THE NATION READY TO PROFIT FROM IMPENDING TRUMP IRAN WAR!!!

Fun movie quote for Monday before we really get started . . .

"The organizing principle of any society . . . Is for war."

That's a disagreeable idea but it makes just as much sense as this meandering montage of Prez Trump talking about Prez Obama, Iran and the danger of a war BEFORE he was elected.

We won't try to reason with with the stans from either side on this one because media is attempting to mold the discourse into a classic, losing progressive vs. Conservative debate when, in fact, there are many right-wingers who oppose Iran escalation.

This Republican from Kentucky isn't a RINO and he's not progressive on any issue from immigration to healthcare but he's the first of many to contradict the party line:

Rand Paul Slams Trump Over Airstrike: 'If You Don't Want Perpetual War, You Don't Keep Sending More Targets'

As with every debate about armed conflict throughout the history of the world . . . We notice that the people amped up about combat will be far, far away from any actual fighting or danger. We can only hope the tradition of "leading from the rear" (ew) endures given that most broke-ass Americans are too busy and too powerless struggling to earn a buck to worry about the consequences of International conflict.

To that end (ew) and because this broke-ass blogger doesn't care about local portfolios . . . We still can't help but notice that Kansas City corporations which don't pay much in taxes and enjoy one break after the next will be making out from this conflict like bandits with very little real risk.

Whilst the plebs are busy berating friends, family and neighbors about the virtues of patriotism without any tough questions of elected leaders OR the cringey antics of the supposedly loyal opposition; big biz corporate trusts are positioning to make EVEN MORE HISTORIC PROFITS.

Reference point from not so long ago whilst so many Vets continue to struggle with PTSD and other injuries:

Contractors reap $138bn from Iraq war

From local bomb makers to tech, logistics and market makers of every sort will enjoy EPIC bank from blood that will inevitably spill.

Accordingly, we share this big picture perspective on how global corporations with some local branches will be the only people who really win a complex Geo-political conflict, right or wrong, initiated by a former TV game show host.

  1. Fun stuff.

The theme I'm seeing is that that a lot of the "progressives" are becoming unhinged and talking way out of turn, not realizing that most Americans don't like brash criticism of the president during wartime.

Public usually turns on all presidents during wartime if they don't keep promises.

Go dig up Nixon and ask him.

  7. George Lopez and his clown counterparts hate Trump because he threatens their twenty million dollar per movie paychecks. If Trump pisses enough countries off, their movies, dvds or whatever sales drop off and that’s really all they care about. In the end, it’s always about the money because all they care about is themselves. Hollywood has an extremely high opinion of themselves and for some reason they think they are more important and valuable than us commoners.

  8. Iran started this crap! And did anyone know that the Gen. Soleimani who the liberals here love so dearly took a little boy and drilled holes in his legs in front of his father for punishment to his father. Anyone who doesn't think that man is a terrorist is sick. We didn't start this Iran did and Trump is not going to draw an imaginary red line like the coward ISIS sympathizer Obama did.

  9. None of the News Items TKC listed, are surprising at all after the drone strike on the terrorist shitheel.

Think about what is actually, probably gonna happen. What would you bet on, if you had to bet?

First of all, you have to define what all of the above articles really don't define. What is war with Iran in 2020?

Boots on the ground? I don't think so. No American with more than a cursory knowledge of our freshly remembered past wants another 50,000 kids cycling thru Walter Reed sans appendages.

It's "Bombs Away". There will be no invasion of Iran. We don't have to invade.

    From Imil Amani -

" If Iran were to hold a referendum on the Islamic Republic today, over 80% would clearly oppose it -- the 1979 brief post-revolutionary excitement and sense of freedom quickly gave way to the new rulers’ systemic Islamization of state and society.

Since the beginning of the Islamic revolution, the regime has used coercion, cooptation, and persuasion to try to change the cultural values of the Iranian people. They purged all traces of the Persian monarchy and renamed every street in Iran. They closed universities for three years (1980–1983) and after reopening, banned many books and purged thousands of students and lecturers from the schools. In the end, it failed miserably."

The Mullahs know, that the last thread of any economic strength they have, is in their oil fields - which are unprotected. Trump will destroy them. This is not to say, that the whack job Mullahs are not so insanely, nihilist and narcissistic that they won't blow up a tanker in the Straits of Hormuz - they might. But the outcome will NOT be boots on the ground.

Look, we should have left the Mideast a decade ago, immediately after it became evident that there was no more threat of running out of oil. I don't think we should have bombed anyone last week, we should pack up our stuff and come home. As the recently released "Afghanistan Papers" have revealed the entire premise of the American Mideast strategy was based on lies; fundamental falsehoods; and an upper-tier military devoid of anyone willing to say the emperor was naked. It was all bullshit.

That said, the next war in the Mideast, will be a "Drone War".

  11. 6:41 Good point imo.

7:16 true ---- Iran took out a U.S. drone, and President Trump held-back.
Iran attacked ships in the Straights of Hormuz, yet President Trump held back.
Iran attacked Saudi oil-fields, and again President Trump held back.
However, Iran attacked a U.S. base killing an American, wounding three more, and President Trump then vaporized Iranian terrorist Soleimani.

Again, we shouldn't be there. Iraq has voted for us to leave, we should do it and let the smug, insufferable, sanctimonious French and Germans figure it out. By the way, if the Russians want to jump into the tar baby that is the Middle East, great! Good luck! The truth is, we should have sent surface to air missiles to Russia not the Mujahadeen in 1979.

The Russian economy is the size of Spain's economy.

The Mideast is, above all else, exactly what Gertrude Bell and Lawrence of Arabia said it was, back in 1919. TRIBAL.

It is a loser and it is decades past time we cut our losses and came home.

If it harms Trump and/or America, good.

If it helps Trump and/or America, bad.

    Free markets? BAD. Communism? GOOD.

    Full employment? BAD. Welfare? GOOD.

MAGA? BAD. Death to America? GOOD.

    Police? BAD. ANTIFA? GOOD.

    Try it yourself. It’s easy.

  15. Chuck, there were no attacks on any US positions by Iran in Iraq or elsewhere under the previous administration's treaty that had Iran's nuclear program verifiably in check. Because of Trump's mental anguish with anything to do with a black POTUS (you wanna talk about unhinged), he undid this and wait for it, Iran acted out. It's real easy to fact check this. Whenever something has gone south in the past 3+ years it can be traced back to one source and is almost always self inflicted.

We've literally gone from, "we're getting out of the Middle East and all their endless wars" to the complete opposite - at the behest of one guy. EVERYONE is in agreement that Soleimani was a shitty human being but adults need to make decisions that include potential consequences and the guy who hold the highest office in the land, never does that. Now, a guy who was supposedly despised by everyone in his country is pulling in millions for protests and funeral processions.

Trump is riding one thing, a stock market that has been trending upward for almost 20 years. He has nothing to do with it and people think it's all because of him. And it has almost no impact on the common everyday US citizen. And stop with your "my 401k looks great". Unless you're retiring in short order, it doesn't matter because it will come back down to earth. That's the only thing keeping Trump from disapproval worse than he already has.

The Trump economy is not based on Wall Street doing well, it is based on Main Street doing well. That in turn, has driven the stock market higher, in spite of every bureaucrat in Washington trying to sink the economy so that they can hurt Trump. Trump freed up the energy sector and has returned 2 TRILLION dollars into domestic business'.

He ain't perfect, but he is a light year better than Obama and Bush, two of the very worst presidents in American history.

    8:02 is right.
