  1. Oh Tony - haven't you been reading your commenters here?
Every Landlord in Kansas City will immediately dump every property they own for anything they can get and leave KC forever!

It's absolutely guarantee by the experts that post here!

  2. Raise the rent, of course. You have to overpay if landlords must. Oh but the legislation is unfunded... so, then maybe nothing until funded.

  3. Raise the rent so the trash can't afford it.

  4. ^^^ You two ever heard of "Section 8" - the taxpayers of Missouri can afford it!

  5. I anticipate an increase in arson in the near future.

  6. I have not allowed section 8 in my places in the past and will not in the future either so go suck a rotten egg 12:51. I own free and clear my places and only I will dictate who will live there.

  7. raise the rent. most small time landlords will be even more protective of their property. It's funny how no one cares that their apartment complexes are less safe because a place cannot turn down a rapist who wants to live there

  8. "Hi. I'm your new section 8, convicted sex offender drug dealing neighbor. Under the terms of the new Tenant's Bill of Rights you have to tell me if you have any children."

  9. As poorly thought out and advanced because of bullying and political theater, even if passed, this won't be anywhere near as bad as folks are claiming.
Remember that it will have to be implemented by KCMO government.
The gang that can't maintain streets, ignored the water system until it now costs residents $100/month to catch up, has no idea how to plow snow, and has half as many murders as New York City year after year.
The chances of these clowns being able to implement a complex ordinance that is supposed to affect thousand of properties are ZERO.
    Thanks for playing.

  10. I've notices a lot of the small landlords are selling out. Good for some but bad for others. This will get some slumlords out but will also punish some people who rent small houses or small apartment buildings. It's really Government tyranny which is what the democrats have been striving for. Sad Kansas City residents have put this into power when they could have a much different solution. But democrats have always been against freedom the civil war proves that.

  11. Removed mine from the market, raised the rent and will only rent to friends people I know.

  12. Yup. Either raise the rent, or stop renting, which will raise the rent. Can't fight economics.

  13. I would get rid of any property if I still had some. I learned my lesson decades ago. A Loser doesn't understand that you are gambling with another persons money and happiness. Mostly because you chose happiness over saving money and being responsible. How a person can turn 150k investment into 5k pile a haul off rubble. Aka- renters had fun.

  14. I don’t think this is going to work out well for the freeloading tenant rights people or the gay mayor who has lived off affirmative action his whole life.

  15. Every landlord I have spoken with in the past month in kcmo are selling or have sold their properties and I just read where Wall Street is raising Billions to invest in single family rentals. I hope the do gooders like wall street landlords
