KCPD: Officer who shot, killed man saw him pull gun

The Kansas City, Missouri, police officer who shot and killed a man inside a vehicle last week saw the man point a gun at another officer, police said. On Monday, Kansas City police released new details in the deadly officer-involved shooting on Dec. 3.

  5. There ought to be some video from the cop cars or copter. Release the video, Chief. You are spending the public's money, so we should get to see how that is working out. Unlike witness statements, video cannot be tailored to fit -- unless edited. So, release immediately.

    Problem is that every fool carries a gun -- and some are dumb enough to point them at cops. (Were these cops in uniform, not plain clothes?)

    Gotta say that fact patterns that involve nothing more than stupid driving and end with dead bodies raise some serious training issues. Especially since this 26 year old has no serious criminal record.
