UMKC LGBT Scribe Against Straight Hate

Reaction to love life writing and a worthwhile attempt to increase understanding amid the divisive culture war online and everywhere else . . . Checkit:

No, I Don't Hate Straight People

A few weeks back, my friend and fellow writer Anna wrote about the problem of saying, " I hate men. " There's a lot to unpack in that and quite a bit of it stems from social issues. But it also got me thinking about a similar but different comment that I hear from my own community.

  1. The rainbow belongs to God, it's a covenant between people and God that he would never flood the earth again. Using the rainbow for a gay symbol blasphemes Gods word. Read what God says about the lifestyle of gay people! I sure wouldn't want to be in their shoes. The rainbow is a CHRISTIAN SYMBOL

  2. These college know it all's always sound like they are in the coolest club ever and want you to know it.

Of course, college administrators, taking advantage of every opportunity, now hand out degrees in "Gender Studies" which then qualify you in perpetuum to brutalize your friends and family with victimization anecdotes, insights into being gay, detailed sexual practices and, if you acquire a Masters in Gender Studies, you will be able to dovetail literally everything in your life, into a conversation about how you are gay, important and the people you are talking to are beneath you because they are not gay.

Example: "I was in the drive thru at Taco Bell and they gave me a burrito instead of a Taco. It's because I am gay. You just don't understand what we have to go through. Give me that hot sauce."

    It's a brave new world.

  8. Chuck--I hate to spoil a good rant with facts, but UMKC has no gender studies program and, therefore, no gender studies degree.

    1. You mean their regressive wokeism is merely limited to general curriculum design, university culture, and the politics of every professor. Got it.

  10. 9:59: Yeah. It's not like in the good ol' days when Birchers and right-wing nutcases taught their views instead of the subject they were paid to teach with the explicit approval of the college admin. (I was there, by the way.)

Oh, you forgot about that, didn't you. What's that? You never went to school. That explains a lot.

    1. Oh, no no no. Willing to bet money I've seen far more university than you. Two continents, three graduate degrees. Use them every day, too.

You fail to address why the psychopathic assumed grievances and open silly perpetual victimhood propaganda of our current academy is any better. Because it isn't. Every subject is wokeism. You've just exchanged one distasteful extreme for another.

Congratulations, old timer. Is this the change you wanted?

  11. In this latest demonstration of poor writing and inferior thought processing from the misfits at Her Campus - UMKC, we find one Chloe Tremain taking issue with previous writer and compatriot Anna's choice of language.

First, who is "Chloe Tremain" and is that a pseudonym for a drag queen? Well, Chloe describes "herself" (best guess pronoun) as a UMKC senior studying English, WGSS, and pre-law. "She" is also the senior editor of the Her Campus chapter at UMKC.

There's a lot to unpack in that disclosure, so let's take a look. Unfortunately, I see this article is the work product of another English major within the Her Campus clique. And what on earth is WGSS? Apparently, UMKC actually offers an undergraduate minor in "Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies", begging the question "who in Hell would pay tuition for such rubbish?" Assuming Chloe Tremain is not on full scholarship (a safe bet) it would seem that she is precisely the type of person who throws money away.

Second, the title of the article is once again a poor choice, which fits the Her Campus writing pattern. At least senior Tremain spared us by not incorporating any GIF's, memes, or emojis. We should count our blessings.

Finally, let's cut to the very core of our criticism with this offering:
Chloe Tremain does not see herself as part of the broad public community, but rather "as a member of the LGBT+ community", "as a gay woman", and a victim "faced with oppression from the patriarchy" who must face the "angry straight white man in the street." These are Tremain's own words.

Tragically, Chloe Tremain, who we assume is likely still in her early 20's, has allowed herself to aimlessly wander down a dead-end path of fear, isolation, and blame. We sincerely hope that she awakens from this somnambulism and begins living life according to The Golden Rule.

  13. Actually, 10:33, I like it better now. The professors I've been taking classes from are liberal, no question abut it, BUT they will tolerate disagreement, only asking for the basis for that disagreement. In my classes fifty years ago that was simply not the case. In one memorable incident, one of the Birchers started in on his rant, and I started working on other classwork, since I knew none of that lecture would be on the test. He got really pissed.

    Nope. Today is better.

    1. Then your experience is a remarkable exception. The disintegration of the credibilty of academia for the specific reason of its unhinged leftward politics is well known. No wonder you like it better.

And it's clear you spent your time well all those years ago. That's a hell of an academic accomplishment, pissing some professor off, and I'm glad your focus was on learning and not trolling or anything. ;)

  15. ^^^^Oh, I accomplished more than that! I wound up pissing a lot of people off, including the state attorney general. And then I took my act on the road, where I pissed people off coast to coast and border to border.

But they were small minded twits and deserved to be pissed off. As do you.

    1. Well, that seems like a lovely story to tell yourself.:) Glad to see your goals were so lofty, and that you had the capacity to match. Being a lifetime troll seems like an adequate ambition for you.

Congratulations! But all quite beside the point. Once again, I speak three languages, I've made a career of helping people, and the breadth of my clients includes, I imagine, far more genuine diversity than you would believe. Your own blinkered understanding suggests that anyone who disagrees with you is an enemy to be antagonized, small-minded and so on; you've made your psychology very obvious. I wonder if you've ever even seriously considered another point of view.

Sorry your core (perhaps only) talent of 'pissing people off' seems to have failed in this case. What a meaningful career, what a deep identity. Have you moved up to flipping the bird to your fellow motorists, or is this a development the world is waiting for in your ripe old age?

  17. Just another stupid gay/lesbian reading the advocate and other west coast publications; they spout hate and divisiveness and aren't worth lining your bird cage; I find KC to be a very tolerant community and am happy to live here; I never forget that the world is a heterosexual place and as an older gay man who has lived through a lot more than you most likely, I try to adhere to the rules set forth by the majority. Nothing wrong with that. Life is too short to always be fighting against something. Live your life in peace and relative privacy and stop being so damn FLAMIMG GAY and no one will bother your for how you live it.
