TKC MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY DENIM ART EXHIBIT DEBUT!!!

Art and beauty are in the eye of the beholder but this review offers some great context and perspective on the local art game and its comment on the world around us . . . Take a look at local culture for Saturday:

Denim's Social Construction: William Toney at Kiosk Gallery

Denim is a baseline of modern history. As much a part of the Western canon as television or sugar, it is the underlying current through which trend, comfort, work, protest, and desire runs. A clothing option that is strangely idiosyncratic as it transcends racial and class lines, its branding pivots between affordability and aspiration.

Come on Kansas City I double dog dare someone to go and take a pair of the denim off the wall and put them on and walk out. Much like what happened to that stupid banana duct tape to that picture in New York that somebody ate LOL
