No smoking weed in state parks for Missouri medical marijuana patients

JEFFERSON CITY - Card-carrying medical marijuana patients are still on the wrong side of the law if they consume cannabis while visiting any of Missouri's state parks. Missouri State Parks is finalizing a new marijuana enforcement policy, set for release next spring, in response to the medical marijuana ballot initiative voters approved in November 2018, said Connie Patterson, spokeswoman for the agency, which manages 91 parks and historic sites.

  1. This state is still in the stone age. Let's at least move up a notch into the "stoned age".

  2. Illinois will start selling recreational marijuana on January 1, 2020. With that, tens or hundreds of millions of dollars will pour out of Missouri into Illinois.

These dinosaurs need to retire or wake up and smell the ganja. Missouri stands to lose billions to Illinois.

    So. Freaking. Dumb!

  3. The masses would be surprised at the amount of weed that is growing in state parks within Missouri. A friend of mine in Scott City had to recover a stolen U-Haul truck way out deep in a state park off a fire trail and in doing so noticed marijuana plants all over in the location. He let the parks people know about it and they admitted it was everywhere and they cannot control it. So it's okay for it to grow there just don't get caught relaxing with it.

  4. Super Dave, that's ditchweed and remnant of the days when hemp was an actual commercial crop many moons ago. That's growing and spreading on its own and isn't cultivated, nor does it have a trace of potency.

  5. ^^^You idiot it isn't all ditch weed. Go to Linn county and snoop around some in the area of the river and you will find some good stuff for free. It isn't all hemp and hemp wasn't grown in dense forest areas fool. Sure potency varies on it but you sound like the normal idiot who thinks they are a pot expert and wouldn't know a pot farm hidden in the woods if taken to it and had it pointed out to them.
