ReplyDelete50 year floods have now become 5 year floods, 100 year floods, now 50, etc. etc. If you own something in these areas, it's probably best to GTFO.
ReplyDeleteThe x year naming convention is foolishly deceptive. The floods are statistical probabilities PER year. 1% annual chance event is the proper name for a 100 year flood.

ReplyDeleteIf you want to protect the farmland, start voting for politicians that will do something about climate change, not ones that deny it.
I have zero sympathy for rural folks complaining about flooding and lack of government action, but continue voting Republican.
