1 hurt in two-alarm house fire in northeast KC Tuesday night

One person was injured in a two-alarm house fire Tuesday night in northeast Kansas City.The fire department was called at 9:35 p.m. to the 6400 block of Independence Avenue.The fire commander at the scene said there was a propane tank explosion.Authorities said they did not have an immediate condition on the victim.Fire crews battled the fire in a defensive mode.

  1. Those houses are tinderboxes ready to go up at any moment. Nothing but poor people and immigrants who are shoehorned into tiny spaces by well-meaning charities. I'm surprised entire blocks have not been incinerated.
