Quick look at the consequences of Blue Wave in Kansas:
Kansas Has A New Supreme Court Justice, And Abortion Opponents Aren't Happy
TOPEKA, Kansas - A Shawnee County district judge was named Monday to one of the vacancies on the Kansas Supreme Court. Though the state's most prominent anti-abortion group opposed Shawnee County District Court Judge Evelyn Wilson, Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly Chose Wilson from among the three candidates recommended by the Supreme Court Nominating Commission.
The Missouri System (used in Kansas and elsewhere) for choosing judges assures that the nominees will always be much more liberal than the taxpayers who will be paying their salaries. Both states should go to the federal method: executive nominates, legislative confirms...or not.
ReplyDeleteThe nominating system is also unconstitutional. If you want to vote to nominate, you effectively have to pass a poll test and pay a poll tax. I wish someone would challenge this.

ReplyDeleteYay!! Yet MORE Democrat Obamacare free drive-thru abortion mills!
Should read, "Shit governor appoints shit supreme court judges."

and also,
"If you oppose genocide, by all means don't commit one. But stay out of the way of those who seek to carry one out."
and finally,
"If you choose not to get a lobotomy, that's on you, but I got one and look at me now!"
^^^Why do they call it a lobotomy when it's obviously on the top of you?
