Kansas City Police Department is investigating a possible suicide that occurred in Kessler Park. On Saturday, December 7, an off-duty firefighter was riding his four-wheeler in a wooded area near Gladstone & White when he found the victim. The victim was declared deceased at the scene. There were no apparent signs of foul play.

  1. The issue is a very simple one: The public PAYS the police and we pay for the videos to be shot both by cars and by copters. Just RELEASE the footage and let us see it for ourselves. Delay breeds distrust.

    The dead young man had no serious criminal record -- and speeding is not a capital offense. In our gun-happy society, lots of folks carry guns around. If this guy foolishly and intentionally threatened a UNIFORMED officer with his gun, leaving no choice for the other officer, then it is a legal shoot. If not....?

    SO, RELEASE THE VIDEO. DUH!

    I've read reports (news stories?) that say Mr Lamb was pursued by two plainsclothes policemen wearing vests that said POLICE. Yes, release the video(s).
    I don't think it's OK to point a gun at anyone. Not a uniformed policeman, not anyone.
