KCPS FAILS ATTENDANCE!!!

Getting students into classrooms is the first of many obstacles that our PROVISIONALLY ACCREDITED schools confront . . . Sadly, it's taken them 25 years to search for a solution and so far nothing has worked . . . Read more:

Why Getting Kids To Class Is Such A Struggle For Kansas City Public Schools

Kansas City Public Schools Superintendent Mark Bedell concedes he's not sure what it's going to take to improve attendance. Missouri uses what's known as the 90/90 rule. Districts need to get 90% of students to school 90% of the time to get all of the attendance points on their Annual Performance Report (APR).

Baby momma refuses to get up on time to get the kids ready for school, even with free laundry, food, baby sitting and yes, even taxi rides to school. Baby momma is who you blame. Maybe the school district and welfare should drug test these mommas.

It’s the grandma. She is in charge. Mom is still out drugging and hoeing.

Probably time to get a real superintendent and get rid of Bedell. He just isn’t smart enough to figure it out. Lying about attendance figures didn’t work. Free breakfast didn’t work. How about no welfare money if no school attendance. No section 8 voucher if no school attendance. No EBT card.

Why do you assume that all public school kids are raised by people on welfare. Could the parents possibly be moderate to low income and choose to send their kid(s) to public school. Besides, Whites are predominantly welfare recipients. Some life long. You have to stop... your bias is showing.

Wait, what, *whites* are predominantly welfare recipients? How are we defining this? I don't think any ethnic group in the country is over 50% welfare recipients, trolls notwithstanding. (Also you are barking up the wrong tree. Tony's trolls are open about their bias. You must be new here.)

I'm going to say no to that. In this district, maybe. But that's the nature of a district with high poverty levels.

Bedell has a nearly impossible job. Modern culture is depressed enough in quality that a district like this has NO chance of rising to 90/90. I doubt most rural districts can either. Suburbs only can shoot for that.

Are kids even educable these days? Not in modern industrial education. If you want simple labor, or methheads, or commie foot soldiers, then the schools can provide. Other than that, I dunno.
