KC Pet Project working to find dogs new homes before moving to new location
KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Moving every dog and cat inside a Kansas City animal shelter is no small task, but soon KC Pet Project will do just that once they move into their new location. So, they are trying to get hundreds of dogs and cats home for the holidays.

ReplyDelete^^^^So simple, so logical, so brilliant! Now if these shelters would read it and take it to heart.
What this 'no-kill' does is sentence animals to cruel and inhumane deaths when there is no room at any of the "inns". I've been saying it for years and I've said it here as the stories pop up so I won't repeat myself. Thanks for saying it for me/us, TKC!!
The "no kill" shelters simply send the animals elsewhere to a "kill" shelter.
ReplyDeleteJudging by the pictures on their website, they need to run a "90% Off" sale on pit bulls. It looks like that breed comprises the majority of the inmate population . . . and a lot of people aren't going to shell out $130 and up for a pup that (justifiably or not) has a less than stellar reputation.
ReplyDeleteThe initial cost for a dog or cat is the least expensive component of the cost of "ownership". Time is the most expensive component for dogs (cats don't need as much time). The food and vet care isn't cheap. The end of life isn't cheap nor easy, be it a dog or cat or human being. People expect emergency medical care for free for all of the above but in reality the costs can exceed thousands of dollars. A go fund me page isn't the better option...
