Kansas City 'Walking Wall' Was A FLOP

First and foremost, the artist was too much of a COWARD to come out and say what he was really talking about . . . Secondly, the traffic imposition demonstrated that he didn't care much about the public or the neighborhood he inconvenienced. Finally, this flimsy review discounts widespread social media push back against this campy bit of "conceptual art" that was only celebrated by people deriving their income from the Kansas City public radio/public TV donor class . . . An Artist Built A Wall That Blocked Traffic In Kansas City, And People Loved It

A roving work of art has sparked a lot of thought about the nature of walls this year, especially among those who live near the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri. "Walking Wall" is a 100-ton art installation that's been blocking traffic and building friendships as it moved toward the Bloch Building at the museum.

  1. It was the dumbest thing anyone ever did. No one went to it except a few goofy looking liberals that looked like they were stoned and hadn't had a bath for weeks. Driving by was fun because I used to yell losers at them and they all had the look of a deer caught in headlights, that in itself was hysterical.

  2. Talk about fake news. Very few people loved it (mostly folks who work for KCUR and The Star), people who were inconvenienced justifiably thought it was idiotic, and the other 99% of the population never thought about it at all.

  3. and yet the only people complaining about it are you three washed up, bitter, broken, buted, & dying geriatrics. Weird.

  6. I seriously doubt that the wall built friendships. "Hey, did you see the wall? Let's be bff's!". In reality, most people probably thought it was a fence and didn't even know it was supposed to be art.

  7. ^^^^^ That's because it WASN'T Art @9:07 - just more of the circular masturbation the "Elite" has immersed themselves in since the 1970s.

On "Elite Planet", "art" is "art" because somebody calling themselves an "artist" said it was "art". "Art" in "Elite World" requires no originality, no communication purposes, no skill or "talent", it just "IS", and that's enough for those "Elite" folks to get moist panties just being in its presence.

Art has a long and extensive past and a record of massive contributions to Civilization, but the floodgates were opened in the 1970s to any sort of self-celebration and pointless performances. The self-styled "Art World" that thinks it exists today has missed the whole point of DADA!

I thought it was stupid when it was proposed. I knew it was stupid whenever the news(?) covered it. I knew it was stupid enough that I never went to see it even out of curiosity. So it seems like I am pretty smart!
Much better than anyone using words like Chimpy or geezers, as they are just absolutely stupid. And, I am smart enough to be right about that too!

  9. Did the liberals that did this measure their carbon footprints of waste ?

  10. sure was a lot of pointless labor stacking and moving those rocks LOL, and its all gone now anyway. if it had been vandalized with spray paint then it may have been art, but otherwise i think just a stunt and rather a stupid one at that. Wm Rockhill Nelson would be pretty surprised that his namesake road was intentionally blocked with a wall. thanks, radish

  11. Around 1950 the art movement degraded irreparably. It's sad because I like good art be we no longer have that
