KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A suspect wanted in connection to a homicide in Kansas City, Kansas, is in custody following a police chase Thursday. KCK police initiated the pursuit just before noon and were later joined by the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Man sentenced after telling police how he murdered his estranged wife

LIBERTY, MO (KCTV) - A man who told police how he planned and carried out the murder of his estranged wife in 2016 has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus another 40 years. Larry Ratliff, a 70-year-old from Grain Valley, was convicted in September of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Black Economic Union intern accused of vandalizing the historic Lincoln Building in Kansas City's 18th and Vine District. Takishia Ford, 39, failed to appear in court Thursday morning to face a felony property damage charge.

More Kansas City inmates on the move now that city loses another temporary jail site

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City will now have to come up with some new ideas on where to house its city inmates. One location currently housing Kansas City jail inmates, Heartland Behavioral Health, won't be part of the plan in the future. One reason for that is because the center lost its insurance coverage.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - A federal jury has convicted a Raytown man of drug trafficking and illegally possessing firearms. Victor Rodriguez Kessel, a 63-year-old from Cuba, was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine, attempting to manufacture crack cocaine, possessing crack cocaine with the intent to distribute, possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute, possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The father of a metro boy shot by a stray bullet says his son is facing a new challenge. The angry dad says his 5-year-old is being bullied. The Kansas City Public School District said it began looking into this story when Primitivo Garcia Elementary School administrators found out about the allegations Thursday morning.
