  1. Banks make horrible trustees. Don't use them. Hire a professional accounting firm to do trustee work.

  2. The Kemper Family surely has no shame.
Ego aplenty, but no sense of right and wrong.
This should trigger a Federal examination of every account for which and Institution with which any Kemper has been associated in regard to their role as a Trustee.

  3. People need to be aware: if your power of attorney document does not specifically state the right to remove a trustee - then your POA cant do it. You can be stuck with a bad trustee. The Uniform code was changed a few years back (by banks) so that you cant be remove easily. They want to keep your estate business even if they do not do a good job. Make sure your POA document gives the POA the right to REMOVE a trustee for "no cause". Then you can hold that over the trustee's head. Otherwise you are 100% screwed.

  4. You have to understand this fact. The family members suing UMB are just making a money grab. UMB is one of the most honest banks in the country.

  6. "The 47-page lawsuit, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, accuses UMB of failing to “create or follow a plan to promote the legacy of Benton and increase the value of Benton art.”

Jesus fucking christ this lawsuit is retarded and make UMB look good

  7. Nowhere is there a more loyal and honest family than the Kempers. Both UMB and Commerce are among the cleanest and healthy banks in the country. To imply that they purposely mismanaged the paintings and estate of Thomas Hart Benton is totally and completely absurd!
