KANSAS CITY MIDDLING MIDDLE-CLASS MILLIONAIRE LIFESTYLE EXPOSED!!!

As we approach the holiday season of credit card debt and bad decisions sparked by advertising and sentimentality . . . We examine one of many locals living the "good life" on an otherwise modest income . . .

A Week In Kansas City, MO, On A $48,000 Salary

Here's part of the confession of the non-profit denizen . . .

"I'm 28, I Make $48,000 & I Pay $800 A Month For A House . . . A Social Worker who makes $48,000 per year and spends some of her money this week on sushi."

Read the whole thing for a good laugh and a realization . . . From trust fund babies to local "moguls" working with inherited money to just about everybody else without a real plan if something goes wrong . . . This is one more independent local living off the kindness of friends, family and strangers.

You decide . . .

  1. Don't be such a hater. It's okay to enjoy some fancy food every once in awhile. Nothing is worse than angry broke people. If 10 bucks buys a smile, it's worth it.

  4. And that folks is why people can't get ahead and hate the "rich". It's called personal responsibility. Sow the seeds at a young age and reap the benefits later in life.

  5. Typical mindless consumer.

  6. Life is not hard. If your 20 years old you have about 40 years to save and invest and you can retire rich. But not if you fall for every status symbol and waste your money. I know that now because I didn’t do it back then.

  7. So, I read the entire thing and could only think of the Edvard Munch Painting - "Scream".

Look, if you don't wanna go to the gym, then run a couple of miles and then get a fifth of Ten High and slug it down, then you are Special Forces material.

    Jesus.

    Brutal.

    Welcome to Metropolis.

  12. From depression meds to sushi, this vapid moron's life is all about things she can out into her mouth to make her feel better.

  16. Jesus Christ only the most miserable of worthless cunts could read about a social worker trying to get by and criticize her for eating some fucking sushi.

  17. For the math challenged above (and apparently unemployed), it's called take home pay. That's net pay, not gross.

You see they take out social security, medicare, fed income, state, and city earnings taxes. She might have extra taken out if she wants annual refund. Then she might also have medical insurance premiums and even 401K savings deducted from her check.

    Jesus, try to keep up.

  18. I make that much a year almost and i have sushi several times a month. WTF you can live on that much money now if I was trying to raise a family be a different story. I live in my own place don't waste my money and am doing okay far as I am concerned. I mean WTH things could be a lot worse.

Wait till the bitch has to live on 1700 or less a month on SS like a lot of people have to that are retired.

  19. Single, no kids, $48k is pretty decent and let's you enjoy some shit in life. Relax Boomers.

  20. Can't believe I read that entire thing. She seems nice enough. She might be fat, but she's also in her 20s so the fat stuff might not hit in her family until the 30s. I know a lot of girls who eat worst than her but still look okay.

1,461 X 2 equals 48k because of taxes, most likely. perhaps she has automated deductions or something. After taxes, and all other bullshit 50k a year is generally only like $3,000 a month, give or take a hundred. Taxes are a lot

  21. Biggest problem is a $300 / month car payment when trying to pay down credit card and student loan. I seriously question the fiscal smartness of people who have big car payments while also carrying other debt. A good vehicle can be had without a big payment, and can be paid off quickly if not bought outright.
