They all should have been wearing safety vest, just like highway workers.

Car vs bike. The bike always loses. Bikes should not be on city streets. Older population is a threat to other drivers, bikers are going to be run over by 90+ year old drivers. You wouldnt let someone walk in the bust street carrying about 6 lbs of metal tubes would you? Thats all a bike is. Be smart. Ban bikes from roads.

What was known as the history's first bicycle craze was in 1890 almost at the same time as the first cars appeared on the scene. Cycling steadily became more important in Europe over the first half of the twentieth century, but it dropped off dramatically in the United States between 1900 and 1910. Automobiles became the preferred means of transportation. Over the 1920s, bicycles gradually became considered children's toys, and by 1940 most bicycles in the United States were made for children. Early bikes killed and injured more people than current models do. Bicycles were a novelty more than a serious means of transportation as they wouldn't handle dirt roads and so forth very well. So 12:54 isn't correct in what he claims as being actual fact. Horses still hold the record as being the first means of transportation in America and for the longest time.

My observations as a motorist is that bicyclists are the ones initiating 99% of all wrecks or near wrecks. They do not obey traffic regulations.

Bicylclists run through red lights, four way stops, ride on two-way highways with narrow (or no) shoulders so when you pop over a hill there they are riding 10 mph. However, the motorist is blamed for the bicyclists lack of safety and common sense.

Most bicyclists I know are narcissitic a-holes who think they deserve to ride their bike at 10 mph on a busy street or highway during rush hour instead of taking their bike to a park or riding on the sidewalk or Santa Fe trail.

$$$ millions of taxypayer dollars have been spent on bicycle trails in the KC Metro area. Leave the pot-hole dotted streets to motor vehicles.

imagine being in the cycle club syndrome. Always fighting against automobile traffic like they will (never) win. Put the bike on your car and ride at a park. I don't want to see grown men dressed in spandex with fake sponsor decals. Rabbit hole. Don't go down it.
