  1. This was once a great city. Really hope that next year we can do better. There needs to be more attention paid to this problem. It's more important than renters or downtown giveaways.

  2. Too bad a lot of people wont see Christmas due to murders. But most are tied to the drug trade. Hopefully those shot are high, so they can die doing what they love, and with less pain. Everyone knows drugs lead to death. They don't care

  3. We have a mayor who is more concerned with spending time at his favorite gay bar in Lawrence than he is with murder totals. Jean Petersucker Baker would rather agree to probation than prison for violent hood rat criminals. Fat fake revs than concern themselves with renaming streets and adding curb feelers to their Escalades than the spiritual welfare of their community. Why would next year be any different?

  5. Lets build a police station. This stellar idea brought to you by regressive pre-boomers: namely aging, decrepit, senile John Modest Miles and friends. Too bad he wasn't the vic.

  6. 11:55 you forgot the city bought and paid private apartments and private community center that the cleave promised the fat fake John modest miles over twenty years ago that have been built within the last two years, oh, and the new multi million dollar rapid transit bus that runs right next to these shiny new taxpayer funded projects.

  7. With absolutely no punishment from Petersucker what do you expect, she is responsible for every murder in the metro area because she refuses to put murderers in jail, she’s a worthless black cock loving cunt. There have been over 1300 murders since since she took over as prosecutor and most of those have been repeat offenders. She’s more dangerous than the murderous blacks all by herself.

  10. Oh lawd where is the good reverend cleaver at? He did SO much for this city. Mayor James? Now mayor Lucas. You see the trend here with murder, crime, and our choice of mayors?

  11. Decision makers in KCMO dont live there. Ones that do send their kids to private schools. No one cares about quality of life in the south and east.

  12. 10:38, specifically what in the way of "more attention" do you propose? And how will it fix or lessen the problem?

  13. Outlaw Murder not guns.

  14. Three simple steps to solve the homicide problem:
    - properly identify the problem
    - properly identify the perpetrators of the crimes
    - immediate capital punishment for those perpetrators

It would be difficult for about two years, after which there would be a massive reduction in these "random youth shootings".

  15. Where is Tony? He probably got snowed in with some fat chick.

  16. More police on the streets? No, the city council is working on more important things:
    -Renaming MLK Street.
-Making sure landords are not prohibited from background checking felons.
    -Free bus rides.
    -Funding murder cottage industry groups.
-Not passing city policy which addresses the border war.

  17. WWwweeeeee!!!eee, Are WE there YET?

  18. 10 is not a lot. I hope we DO NOT break this record. A bad precedent for Kansas City.
