Visitors Enter 'A New Kind Of Queer World' In The Nerman Museum's Newest Exhibition

In the art world, what makes regular abstraction different from "queer abstraction"? Unlike LGBTQ artists who explore identity through representational images that make clear statements, the 20 artists in "queer abstraction" at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art are expressing themselves through color, shape and form.

  1. I can’t wait to see this collection of faggot art. This will encourage our gay artists to express their homosexuality artistically.

  2. I think I see Sharice Davids ugly butt crack and her mother's big fat belly hanging out. Pretty sure that's what it is.

  7. Remember when they just wanted to be able to get married? Give an inch, they take a mile.

  8. ^^^Nah. Give them an inch and they want nine....all the way in deep.

  9. ^^^^And that would certainly exclude you.

  11. This is a perfect illustration of the hypocrisy of LGBT activism.

When the LGBT community lobbies for acceptance and inclusion, seeking to be treated with equality, I get it.

But that doesn't mean using your sexual identity/preference as your PRIMARY identifier in society.

Why aren't these artists simply "artists" expressing themselves within a wide spectrum of art work? Why are they "queer artists" or "LGBTQ artists"?

If identifying artists as "queer abstractionists" is routine and acceptable, then how come you never hear any artist described as heterosexual or straight? Isn't it because sexual identity is separate and apart from an artist's talent?

If you want respect, don't make up special rules for your team.

  12. the first episode is michelle and larry meeting at a Sigma DElta Sue frat party, karry sticks his dick in michelle's face but she is passed out. Second episode is Larry walking michelle home. Thord epidode they get married. Fourth episode, they pop a few kids out. Fifth epidode Michelle on motherhood. Sixth episode michelle dons a pussy hat, becomes a feminist, campaigns for hillary, has sex with Larry's best friend wife in front of larry's best friend. Seventh episode, Michelle feels fat, very fat, and cannot find appropriate underwear. Eighth episode divorce and death.

  14. 9:20, I am gay and I think your post is absolutely correct; well stated.

  15. whoops: eighth episode, larry loses his pension & job, michelle refuses to work, but has no skills anyway, starts a blog on feminism, motherhood, the size of her ass, and interior design knick knacks - the only things women train themselves to talk about. Ninth episode divorce and death.

and gay folks want you to know they are exactly the same, a little less disciplined but just as boring.

  16. And... Johnson County says.... Hey everybody, we're cool too! We love deviants! Everybody get on board and see how inclusive we are. Come on out and see this great art made by cool gay people.

I'm so happy my taxes go to support this!

It's a weird world. Calling out one group for special recognition is elitist and exclusionary.
