DEVELOPERS ENJOY KANSAS CITY MIDTOWN TAX BREAK BLIGHT BONANZA!!!

All that area cannot be blighted as the bike lanes run through the area.

7:51PM comment NAILED IT!

When you grant blight designation to a Plaza luxury hotel, or Burns and McDonnell's headquarter expansion, isn't EVERYTHING eligible for blight status?

So now they’re calling it midtown instead of the east side, it really is midtown or the central core but I guess if you change a word or two it suddenly becomes a better place to do business with developers.

The primary reason any area is blighted is because of crime. But if there is not enough funds to pay cops and courts because of tax abatements there will be even more blighted areas.
