Aftermath: KCPD Officer Quits After Deadly Shooting And Community Outcry

Culture war and continued complaints against the so-called "perfect record" of KCPD for shootings result in this "voluntary separation" despite the fact that the suspect had a gun and pointed it at the po-po.

To be fair, cops leaving departments often go on to be hired by smaller burgs and can even rise to the level of Chief. Checkit:

KCPD officer voluntarily leaves department following investigation into officer-involved shooting

According to the Kansas City Police Department, an officer with the Kansas City Police Department has voluntarily separated from the Department following an investigation into a shooting incident. On December 9, 2019, an off-duty officer radioed for help at around 2:30 a.m. from his home in the 3500 block of St.
