UNLIKELY CONSERVATIVE DAVID JUNGERMAN CAN GET FAIR TRIAL IN PROGRESSIVE KANSAS CITY?!?!

The Jackson County prosecutor is also leader of the Missouri Democratic Party . . . Every American has the right to be tried by a jury of their peers. Here's a power move that has a good chance to succeed and make an argument worthy of consideration. Checkit:

Man accused of killing Brookside lawyer, wants trial moved out of Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -- David Jungerman's attorneys say he can't get a fair trial in a Jackson County courtroom due to media coverage of the case, and the fact that his alleged motive to kill began after he lost a civil case in the same courthouse.

TEMPORARY INSANITY

Burglars broke into the man's business, secured with a high fence and alarm system.

When he arrived on the scene before police responded, he began walking through the premises to search for intruders/damage. His business had been broken into multiple times before. When an intruder came towards him, he fired his rifle hitting the criminal in the leg, acting in self-defense.

The criminal found an attorney who sued Jungerman, claiming excessive force was used against his client (the criminal). At trial, Jungerman who comes across as a hard-working, no-nonsense, law and order, older white man was not viewed sympathetically by the skewed jury. The verdict meant that Jungerman would lose most of the substantial assets he had spent a lifetime of hard work accumulating.

When a man has nothing left to lose, he loses it.

This case has been another example of one mistake (stripping a business owner of his assets for defending his legal property and himself) spawning further mistakes (revenge killing).

Its wrong to let a burglar sue for damages. Burglars know there is an HUGE inherent risk of death or injury to themselves when they do the crime. The burglar accepted that risk. The attorney errored and should have not taken the case. But attorneys want fees, and when greed takes over things go down hill. (So if you injure a burglar breaking into your house in the middle of the night he could later sue you and make you broke?) The attorney knew he was angering a business owner that had no issues shooting someone. The attorney took the risk that the guy might come and shoot him dead. The attorney accepted the risk in exchange for the huge fees he would earn. And what becomes of the burglar - he moves to Hallbrook, and has more money than any of us now. He is rich beyond his dreams! And legal verdicts of this type are tax free to him! Criminal wins, attorney and business owner lose. You could be next! It could be tonight someone gets hurt breaking into your home!

The burglar could care less about the dead attorney or the guy who owned the business. He only cares about himself. He is planning on moving to California with his winnings. He isn't sticking around here. He is free to go. My unpopular opinion is the attorney got what he deserved. He was the biggest criminal of the 3 parties involved. This will allow his wife, a doctor, to find a better husband, one with morals and a sense of right/wrong. And a true desire for justice.

Its very unwise to back a man with a gun "into a corner". That's what the burglar did first, the attorney did it second. What do you expect? I was going to be an attorney UNTIL I found out its all about twisting the rules, making $$$$$$$$, finding flawed laws and using them to sue innocent people. Most attorneys in these cases are the poor performers, who cant get a job doing tax, securities or corporate law. So their clients are one-legged criminals, with prior records, that bitch their robbery wasn't successful. Can a US serviceman disabled from fighting overseas sue the US Government for getting hurt? No. Neither should a criminal. That's why most business owners "shoot to kill", so they can avoid this issue. Had he killed the burglar it would have been a small news story forgotten in 3 days.

Some very good posts here. 2:16 pretty much says it all. Sympathy for sleaze attorney(s), none. (For their families, yes.)

Read the actual details of the underlying case before spouting off based of the less than accurate re-tellings above.

If the attorney thought Jungerman had little or no wealth, no lawsuit would have been filed by the attorney. It would have ended there. But its all about money. Not justice. "So if you think the burglar was a victim, remember the attorney would not have taken his case, or pursued any form of justice, as there was no money to make."

You only get justice if you have money, or you can get money as an award. I know, I sued someone and won. Had I not had the 40K to do it, I would have never gotten any justice. In this case, Jungerman should have shot and killed the burglar. Dead men cant file lawsuits.

The burglar would have gladly broken into that attorney's house. But it wasn't closeby. So he didn't. Anyone was a target for him. The burglar has probably committed hundreds of crimes in the past. He may have broken into your car that time you found your window was smashed out. People are so kind to evil thieves.

The lawyer's death is tragic and Jungerman should pay if he did it.. But these lawyers can be greedy unapologetic fuckmeisters. I know quite a few of them. They like to drink Irish Whiskey to clear their conscience.
