Hottie Lindsey and her Halloween costume this year inspires a bit of cowtown contemplation regarding appropriateness, inclusion and far more than a handful of other massive questions.

Similarly, this KICK-ASS TKC READER serves important insight and the BEST QUESTION about local fed investment we've seen so far.
Here's the word . . .
TKC READER: "We have had a lot of coverage about the USDA moving to KC region and now locating downtown. The real question to progressive Kansas City is: Why are they not locating these government jobs along Troost or Prospect? I remember a vacant lot where the Citadel project was suppose to be . . . If the government is unwilling to the risk of locating in economically distressed areas, why should we think private businesses would take the risk?"
You decide . . .
that's an excellent question. But port KC isn't interested in helping the east side at all. They're too busy looking out for their own back end.
ReplyDeleteThe top heavy organization is one of the most shady in KC.
Who wants their business in the middle of murder mayhem? Don’t be fucking stupid, nobody deserves to drive through the middle of Mogadishu twice a day, Jesus you people are effing stupid to even bring that racist crap up.
ReplyDeleteGo ahead and ask where the 126 murders are. Nobody can survive on the east side, that’s why nobody can start a business there, duh
ReplyDeleteI just moved to this big city from Paola, Kansas In January. It's like the most exciting and vibrant thing I've ever seen in my life. If these USDA people moving here need some help learning about the big city life give me a shout out. I can't drink legally yet so we'll have to meet at Mud Pie or something like that.
ReplyDeleteYoung man or lady, please don't solicit to meet random people you don't know. Meet nice people through work or church.
Delete^^^^Just wait, you'll soon have a huge dose of reality laid upon you.
ReplyDeleteComing from Paola you probably wet yourself every time you step into a QuikTrip. Plain as day you don't hang out east of downtown down to say 103rd along Troost, Wornall or Prospect either.
Go back to Paola where the exciting thing to do is go to WalMart, Sonic and cruise the square if you're old enough to drive.
Blacks and whites don’t want to live or work where there is crime it’s that simple.
ReplyDelete"...why should we think private businesses would take the risk?"
ReplyDeleteWe don't.
The government is more likely than a private business to take that risk because the government is stupider.
Never fear Mayor Selfie Bird Q is going to fix all these problems before years end. Everything from crime and murder to the assessment deal.
ReplyDeleteKeeping it frosty next level.

it doesn't matter if some of them are Tupperware!
Great to bring up the "Citadel Project".
ReplyDeleteAnother example of "economic development" that consisted of an urban core grifter and KCMO city government with lots and lots of taxpayer money.
The taxpayers ended up losing millions of dollars and the site is still contaminated with asbestos because the "developer" didn't know or care.
Momentum!
That is not important 'insight'.
ReplyDeleteMore likely, that supposedly insightful comment is important insight into why many USDA employees did not want to move to KC.
ReplyDeletecuz y'all dumb asses.
ReplyDeleteThese are high paying job's .They want to keep the employee happy. You put your office in a entertainment and Restaurant, district. They have there Bon Ton ,in the district. And Drive forty miles out of town to live on there five Acers with two Smokers a couple of Grills back yard living. Ain't that America.
