TKC QUESTION: SHOULD KANSAS CITY CHIEFS HIRE COLIN KAEPERNICK?!?!

A question of patriotism and football was sent our way as the Kansas City Chiefs attempt to expand their international appeal with a game in Mexico City tonight.

To wit and because fanboys have a lot to be angry about amid this lackluster season already . . .

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS FANS WARN FRONT OFFICE AGAINST HIRING CONTROVERSIAL PROTESTER COLIN KAEPERNICK!!!

Let's not forget that the Chiefs were among the few teams to actually watch this weekend's controversial workout following a last minute switcheroo.

Here's the only excerpt we could use from an 1,500 word treatise sent our way which inspired TKC to lock the basement door last night . . .

"The Chiefs should expect a citywide boycott if they bring TRAITOR KAEPERNICK to Kansas City. In fact, they should haven't even been at the workout. The side show was not worth it. We need to stand up against this NIKE tyranny. I don't care how many Chinese sneakers the guy sells. Here in KC we don't tolerate disrespecting our troops or the flag. As a life long fan, I put up with the team and some of the other protests because I knew they would die down and trade the perpetrators. Eventually that happened. But if we bring in the guy who started it, that's nothing more than a ploy. You need to be the only blog to say this kind of treachery won't stand in Kansas City. Just say NO to TRAITOR KAEPERNICK!"

Again, 1000 MORE WORDS AFTER THAT which informed TKC that the Earth was flat and the government is already using time-travel to control the populace.

However, in fairness we're offering this screed as starting point to discussion given that the KC starting QB does, in fact, have a bum leg and there's a chance to pick up a pretty good backup at a discount.

  1. PUNT and pass on him.

    Sorry.

  2. After he wore a Kunta Kinte shirt to his workout? Um, no. Sounds like he has more pressing business in Africa.

  3. I hope they hire him. I hear he has a big one.

  4. Funny how the author of that rant said "we don't tolerate disrespect for out troops or the Flag".
Where was he when Kobach was riding around in parades in a jeep clone with a representation of the US Flag painted on it and a "Vote for Kobach" sign plastered on it?
The US Flag Code forbids ANY advertising on ANY "Flag or representation thereof".
Kansas Republicans tolerated the shit out of that!

  5. Oh boy. This one ought to get the geriatric, flag waving crowd all fired up.

Probably the same people who drop in "home of the Chiefs" at the end of the anthem.

  6. I said this when all this kneeling shit started that they have the first ammendment right to protest. If they felt that way then fine, i will defend the constitution and the first amendment til my death. I also said that if he and the rest of them i.e. Marcus Peters were to be taken serious about this then why are they not at city hall or before the House and Senate trying to change laws and bring awareness to this? Oh that's right, they're beating the shit out of their baby mommas and in the club everynight. On a personal note, i think it's hysterical that the NFL was punked by that dipshit. It emphasizes what a shitshow the NFL is right now. I guess he left the one facility because his film crew could not go into the facility. My guess he's filming a new spike lee movie about how oppressed he is (Don't we all wish we were millionaires). Or he's making a netfix documentary. Either way he gives not one shit about the NFL or ever playing again. He already sued the NFL and won millions from them. Dear God would someone just flush this turd already!!

  7. He wasn't there for an interview or tryout. It was nothing more than a publicity stunt. Call up Antonio Brown and the two of you can play catch.

  12. TOP PHOTO -- SOCIAL JUSTICE WUSSY

(Stop me if you've heard this story before)

Born to a White mother and Black father who was AWOL.
He was adopted and raised by a White family.
At his California high school, he was an outstanding athlete and student.
The University of Nevada was the only school to offer him a football scholarship.
In college, he was again an outstanding athlete and student, graduating with a degree in business management.
In 2011, the San Francisco 49ers selected him in the draft.
In 2012 he replaced an injured Alex Smith at quarterback and led the team to the Superbowl.
In June 2014, Kaepernick signed a six-year contract extension with the 49ers, worth up to $126 million. In September, and once again in October, he was fined for violating NFL conduct rules.
In 2015, under a new coach, he lost his starting position, and then missed the rest of the season due to injury/surgery.
In 2016, he'd had surgeries to his thumb, knee and shoulder, and asked to be traded. The 49ers told Kaepernick that they planned to release him, so he opted out of his contract to become a free agent in 2017.
In a 2016 pre-season game, he began sitting/kneeling during the national anthem. He stated, "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder" in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
You remember the rest of the story.

Biracial kid, abandoned by his Black father, nurtured by a White family, schools and society. Excels into a good student/athlete, scholarship to college, graduates with a degree, reaches the NFL! Makes millions of dollars, develops a prima dona complex, gets injured, gets demoted, gets mad and turns into a Social Justice Warrior. Is his own worst enemy!!!

  13. Unless Andy Reid and Hunt want to spend lots and lots of time with their psychiatrists trying to figure out how to deal with a narcissistic self-important celebrity wannabee, much better to pass.
It would save everyone, especially his "teammates" a tremendous amount of grief.
Off to Hollywood where he really belongs.

  15. He has never been good enough at quarterbacking to make up for being such a head case. But his decision to pursue fame and fortune as a corporate sponsored black activist rather than as a football player is a rational choice. He might succeed at the former, but would fail at the latter.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yell FUCK NO, as loud as you can and that is your answer. Remember when we had Bam Morris and Andre risen, that worked out great. Kaepernick is only out for himself and would wrecm and team he touches.

  21. Of course they should sign him!

swiss chiefs already have 'dead squirrel head' mahomes (edward scissorhands the inspiration apparently) so adding 'afro-head' kaepernick (the 60's want their kinky back) to the mix would make the kc qb room and team afield look even more ridiculous than they already do!

Harpo Marx and Angela Davis on the same team!

    Two clowns, no waiting!

  24. While I am NOT a football fan, it is good when the home team wins.

It was and is Colin's First Amendment right to peacefully protest what he believes is a wrong. Everyone got their knickers in a knot about that. The Leagues guidelines say Players SHOULD stand during the Anthem. It did not say they WILL or SHALL stand for the Anthem. Should is a weasel word used by management of any company to suit their own agendas.

I can't see how this man could or would help the Chiefs.

The fans ALL disrespect the Anthem by changing the last line to HOME OF THE CHIEFS, so really how is that not being disrespectful to the Anthem and the Veterans?

  25. Who cares. The NFL is already named Anti American so what difference would it make now. They have been kissing Kap's butt and all the other selfish NFL players since Kap threw his privileged lifestyle on the ground and stomped on it.
Just like 12:44 and his racist chip on his shoulder and ignorant parents that raised him to be.....well just that ignorant.

  26. Oh Chimpy. You know nothing about being a human, though you try so hard! Lol

  27. Athletes are paid for one thing. If a player chose to wear a MAGA hat I would say the same thing, take it off, shut up and play. And no matter what their ideology if a player thinks its more important to spout opinions than to play the game then a team would be crazy to sign them.

  30. "It was and is Colin's First Amendment right to peacefully protest what he believes is a wrong." Nobody has a first amendment right to protest at work, especially when that is likely to upset co-employees and, more important, customers. Kaepernick was free to say whatever he wanted on his own time, but not while on his employer's premises.
