TKC MUST READ!!! NORTHEAST NEWS CONSIDERS JACKSON COUNTY FAIL TO PREVENT PROPERTY TAX CRISIS!!!

There's more than enough blame to go around but this COMMUNITY NEWS missive offers an insightful, nicely written, colloquial overview of a taxpayer SMACKDOWN currently confronting property owners which dominated 2019 and offered a glimpse of dysfunctional local government POWERLESS TO FIX THEIR OWN MISTAKES. Jackson County's message to taxpayers: Pay up, sucka!

That's the takeaway from last Thursday's Jackson County Board of Equalization meeting in which the board chose to take no action on rectifying the unbelievable hot mess that is the 2019 county assessment process that levied astronomical property tax increases for thousands of Jackson Countians, mostly in poorer neighborhoods.

  2. They had this planned last year when they passed the budget for 2019, they knew they where gonna increase personal and property taxes by $48 million, they’re not gonna go back on their word now, it will look bad on them if they do, bunch of lyin thievin crooks is what they all are.

    The entire county budget went up about $80 million and they’re not done screwing people over yet, most people don’t know they’re getting screwed with other deeply hidden taxes.

    Frankie boy gave his office a raise from $500,000 to $1.2 million dollars a year, what the hell does he need that much money to run an office for?
