It seems that the twinkle toes dance moves from campaign staffers aren't cutting it for South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and his presidential party train.
This paywall headline says it all and offers more than a bit of skepticism:

Nevertheless, let's not forget this fancy dancing campaign is connected to Kansas City. Former Mayor Sly endorsed the corporate Democratic hopeful along with a slew of other mayors and the KC honcho has spent a great deal of time skulking around D.C. over the past few years . . . THUS, he's more than qualified to concoct a southern strategy for the man who could be the nation's first openly gay Prez . . .
New York Times: “He needs to get out into the communities and countryside and let people know who he is,” said Sly James, the former Kansas City mayor, who endorsed Mr. Buttigieg in September. “That means some travel to the South, more time and exposure there and finding some key African-American leaders who can open doors for him and endorse him.”
Pretty sure that's just a bit of self promotion BUT at a time when the leader of the free world is a former game show host who is mercilessly and deservedly mocked for his cringe-y press conferences and all around con-man demeanor . . . Talk of "credibility" in American politics is just a bad joke.
Still, we should ask . . .

"Mayor Pete" has very little political experience to become President. He's a 2-term Mayor of South Bend, Indiana. The population of South Bend is approx. 100,000 people. To put that into perspective, Independence MO is about the same size. Do you think the Mayor of Independence is ready to become President? (Obama enjoyed the fastest rise to the Presidency of any modern President. His handlers quickly took him from the Illinois state legislature to the U.S. Senate and on to the Oval Office. If you review his election history, one can argue that he never won without some type of campaign irregularity, dirty trick, etc.)
