TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! MISSOURI INSIDER: GUV PARSON PLAYED KANSAS CITY MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS!!! ANTI-GUN REFORM DEAD ON ARRIVAL IN JEFF CITY!!!

Recently, MSM celebrated the illusion of compromise on gun control in Kansas City.

Turns out, from a policy perspective, conversations betwixt lawmakers were nothing more than publicity stunt hype.

The idea of stricter state-wide gun restrictions has been a constant source of tension betwixt Kansas City vs. Jeff City for at least the past four years.

Both Jackson County Prosecutor and former Mayor Sly James have directed scathing criticism against Missouri Republicans and basically blamed the Jeff City GOP for the Kansas City murder count.

The idea that new Mayor Quinton Lucas could win gun control in Jeff City would offer an impressive restart for the tense relationship among rural Missouri conservatives and Kansas City progressives on this controversial topic.

Again, legislative compromise would be nice but that's not going to happen . . .

EXCLUSIVE AND FIRST ON TKC: MISSOURI CONSERVATIVES VOW TO SHUT DOWN ANY AND ALL GUN CONTROL PROPOSALS FROM KANSAS CITY!!! MOREOVER, THE RECENT COWTOWN MEDIA BLITZ WAS SIMPLY GUV PARSON RUNNING CAMPAIGN GAME IN KANSAS CITY WITH LITTLE TO NO BENEFIT FOR THE NEWBIE KCMO MAYOR!!!

Here's the word:

"I can't believe Mayor Quinton Lucas would let himself get used like that. (Guv) Parson isn't going to put any gun control on the table. His own party would trash it without consideration. An Executive order would be overturned. However, none of that's going to happen because this was just Governor Parson campaigning in order to pick up a few votes and increase his name recognition in KCMO. What did (Mayor) Lucas get out of it? The social media love might be nice but that doesn't translate into votes. For people who actually know what's going on here . . . The Mayor's team allowed him to be used as a prop. It's embarrassing and anyone who follows the legislation in Missouri is going to be very disappointed."

History has proven this Kansas City Insider correct. The GOP dominated Missouri General Assembly is packed with rabid pro-gun advocates who are nearly zealots in defense of the 2nd Ammendment. On the Missouri side of the metro, Republican leaders have politely ignored the calls for gun reform but also share a history of voting down any significant changes.

Meanwhile, as violence and the KCMO murder count continue to escalate, it's doubtful that legislation at any level is going to help control the current spate of deadly violence on local streets.

Developing . . .

  1. But the meetings looked nice and there were facebook posts and tweets. That's all that matters TKC. Sorry.

    1. I think it's more practical than this. Why duplicate legislation that's already federal law. Is mayor Lucas telling us that prosecutors will start getting tough with criminals? That's doubtful. Most of the offenses are going to be plea bargained down anyway. The argument that more gun laws will reduce violent is incorrect. I hope this isn't the best Lucas has to offer, he's going to have to do much better.

  2. Bad Thanksgiving for Mayor Quinton Lucas. He was taken to school by Shields and now the governor. I hope he starts learning faster.

  3. Quinton spends his free time at a gay bar in Lawrence. He doesn’t have a lot of focus toward our murder count.

^^^^ You're hallucinating. You should talk to people when you're at the gay bar. It'll help you improve your social skills. What you've really told us at @9:16 is that you're sitting at a gay bar dreaming about the mayor of Kansas City. Sad.

  4. I'm thankful this Thanksgiving for a Republican governor and his administration. At least a little relief from the KC and STL demtards who would turn this great state into another Colorado (California Lite), and who can see thru the liberal bullshit being spread at all political levels.

  5. Quinton is just waiting for Cleaver to retire. He wants to be Congressman, not Mayor.

When reading a sentence, it's important to skip to the last phrase because that tells you what the sentence is about, not the first phase which is just fluff. So, ...

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

is not about militias, but rather about the right of the people to keep & bear arms not being infringed.

When discussing anything else written by the Founders, earlier drafts & other documents written by the Founders are cited. But, not the Second Amendment. Only this final version without annotation is offered focusing only on the final phrase.

We manufactured 11.5 million guns in 2016 & yet the violence continues. Weird.

  7. Here's Missouri's constitutional version of the federal Second Amendment (leaving out the part about crazy people).

"That the right of every citizen to keep and bear arms, ammunition, and accessories typical to the normal function of such arms, in defense of his home, person, family and property, or when lawfully summoned in aid of the civil power, shall not be questioned. The rights guaranteed by this section shall be unalienable. Any restriction on these rights shall be subject to strict scrutiny and the state of Missouri shall be obligated to uphold these rights and shall under no circumstances decline to protect against their infringement."

In view of this very strong protection, what specific gun control measures should Lucas ask for?

  8. Texas has more guns than anyone and you're way more safer in Houston or Dallas than KC after dark. Anyone pushing gun laws is purposely misleading you because everyone knows what the real problem is but they're afraid to say it. Everyone knows the real reason why there's so much violent crime on the east side that at times makes it's way west of troost, but no one is willing to have an honest discussion.

We'd rather not hurt people's feelings than address the real reason innocent girls are randomly shot at first friday

  9. Byron hates guns that's why he lives in a state that has a huge number of gun owners.

Byron claims to love black people that's why he lives in a state where the black population is very low.

It's your black friends doing the killing Byron not the guns.

Where are you tax returns Byron or your service discharge papers you hide. Another of your famous lies.

  10. "Gun" laws subverting and controlling the ownership, categorically permitted, by the Constitution, has nothing at all to do with crime. "Crime" is the thin patina, covering the real intent of Progressives who rule the media, the Deep State and the Entertainment Industry.

The actual intent, of these many variations throughout the nation, by local and national politicians, supported, again, by the Media and the Deep State, is to euchre us out of the protections, the ordnance, that we (Law Abiding Citizens) will need, when the ENTIRE CONSTITUTION is abrogated in favor of the Fascist, Totalitarian all controlling Statist government, that is in ascendance.

The goal, is to make us all, "Hong Kong Helpless" in the face of the power that stems, as Mao said, "from the end of a gun barrel".

No one, smarter than the family pet, really thinks that gun control laws will have gangbangers, MS 13, bank robbers, rapists and murderers in serious conversation about the legality of the firearms they possess, prior the crimes they are about to commit.

It's ALWAYS, ALWAYS about the safe control of you, your vote, your wallet as these fuckin vampire, parasites acquire total control.

  11. Look at Chicago, a strict gun control city run by the democrats.

  12. Lots of guns are owned by people who have drugs and don't want them to be stolen. The drugs are so important to them, they don't leave the drugs at home, they carry the drugs on them. Why are the drugs important: 1. They are hooked, 2: they make a living selling them, 3: They use drugs to quickly and easily get sex from women (without dating them for weeks). People don't realize that many illegal drugs are bought to entice pretty women into having sex with men who otherwise would not have a chance. A "drug experienced" pretty blue eyed blonde looking at a pile of cocaine is going to say yes to almost anyone and anything. They cant resist. If women were more open and sharing like in the free love 60's, then perhaps the segment of the "drugs for sex" market would disappear.

  18. The dimwits have caused this problem with their stupidity and callousness for the laws so they can garner votes. What’s terrifying is the fact that the dimwit followers don’t know the gun laws already in place and believe that q and other dimwits like him are helping when in fact your being played so they can continue to rule over you. These rulers pretending to be smarter than you by acting like they're creating laws that already exist should be a warning sign for all to see.

But dimwits will be dimwits, you people are followers and are lining up to jump off the cliff....... so be it, you are worthless and weak.

  19. Lots of good comments here, that are right on the money.
Of the 130+ homicides in KCMO so far in 2109, how many have been perpetrated by assault rifles?
    None.
    How many by "teens"?
    Very few.
    How many by "significant others"?
    Less than 5%.
But those are the "issues" of the Lucas show.
Smiley selfies Lucas just can't bring himself to have the guts to even honestly define the problem.
KCMO will, continue to be the fifth most dangerous city in the country, even though it's the 38th largest.
And will continue to have fully half the number of homicides as New York City, which has a population 17 times the size of KCMO.
    Sad.

  20. Legislation without enforcement means nothing. And with Kansas so close, even if the laws were effective, they could walk across the state line and get a weapon. This is a non starter for Mayor Q. I would rather he focused on stopping so much TIF.
