CHECK PRESTON SMITH OFFERING 1ST PERSON TESTIMONY ON JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFFS MOVING HIM OUT OF HIS SEAT & ENFORCING NEWLY DEVISED RULES FORBIDDING HIS QUESTIONS!!!
Here's the word . . .
Preston Smith, a Board of Equalization member who represents the Blue Springs School District, said: "They have ratcheted this up to a whole new level of conflict . . . They have a procedural hearing where you're supposed to be able to ask questions of the assessor and the staff to find out how things are going and I've attended these before . . . I've asked questions back in July and August. Well, they made a rule that they don't want me asking questions. I was in my seat, ready to have at it. And they wanted me out of my seat and told me to go sit in the audience with a deputy to move me. And then one of the other members of the Board Of Equalization just wanted to ask a question after the meeting and they, for real, dragged her out of the room."
Now, Mr. Smith is calm, smart and very cautious with his words. Our blog community says the scene was far worse and, yes, the cuffs did come out.

IS THE JACKSON COUNTY EXEC FRANK WHITE ADMINISTRATION SO DESPERATE TO HOLD ONTO POWER THEY'RE FORCED TO USE DEPUTIES TO AVERT ANY POLITICAL CHALLENGE AGAINST THEIR AUTHORITY?!?
Big picture . . .
It's dangerous for the voting public to have an administration in power deploy law enforcement when discontent with policies AMONG COLLEAGUES has become so widespread.
If voters really cared about Democracy in Kansas City, this should be the last straw against this FAILED tenure.
Better yet, we need to talk about Exec Frank White handing in his resignation. A fact of life that's going to happen sooner or later.
