TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY HOME PROVIDERS WARN AGAINST ACTIVIST 'BILL OF RIGHTS' THREATENING SAFETY AND ECONOMIC VIABILITY OF LOCAL LOW-INCOME HOUSING!!!

The debate over affordable housing is ramping up as "home providers" formerly known as Landlords, Inc. offers a fact check against recent social justice protest.

The premise . . .

KANSAS CITY HOME PROVIDERS FEAR KC TENANTS 'BILL OF RIGHTS' WILL RUIN THEIR BIZ & ENDANGER PROPERTIES!!!

Here's their dire warning directed toward the Mayor and the current proposal he has championed thus far . . . Checkit:

"If Mayor Lucas and KC Tenants get their way landlords will no longer be able to screen perspective tenants based on their credit, criminal, rental or eviction history.

"Landlords will be forced to rent their homes to anyone that shows up with cash. Landlords will also be forced to accept Section 8 Housing Vouchers instead of having the choice of whom to rent their homes to or to do business with.

"Meanwhile your tax money will be paying for lawyers to represent tenants that face evicton for non-payment of rent.

"Let us know what you think about that.

"Better yet, plan to attend the Mayor's Special Committee on Housing Policy at 4:00pm and let the Mayor and his committee know what you think about that."

Take a look at the home provider markup response to a recent proposal . . .

  1. nothing but a free rent movement.

The sad thing is that it will end up hurting people it's trying to help. The best way to get around these requirements is just to charge more and price out the scumbags. It's a win/win. No thugs and more money.

    1. Can they just go ahead and admit they want free rent? It could save everyone some time and money if these "activists" were honest about their real goals.

    2. Rent control like this creates some of the highest costs in the nation. You think rent control works, look at Manhattan and San Francisco prices. That's where KC wants to be it looks like. They'll see people move out of the city before that happens. If you think it doesn't affect you, they'll likely be moving to Overland Park and nearby bedroom communities.

      Think about it!

  2. The level of "Socialist Sabermetrics" in this town, reflects the insanity that permeates the Progressive lunatics that seek this country's destruction and descent into a Venezuelan dystopia.

We will all be living in a Hieronymus Bosch painting if these idiots keep getting elected.

Virtue signalling, suicidal altruism in combination with the naked, psychotic need for power from Left Wing Loonies is a necrosis killing us daily.

Fuck the well dressed fop - Mr. Mayor.

  3. What is going to happen is their will be NO places to rent except downtown luxury apartments.

  4. There will be some backlash on this bill. And those it could hurt the most are those who don't abuse the landlord tenant relationship.

  5. Next a mass exodus to the burbs. We already have enough of that wonderful diversity exported from KC, bringing with it the cultures gifts of crime and deterioration. If this is untrue, please make your case, I am open to facts/data to the contrary.

  6. This was slies idea originally, raise the rent so the poor have to move out of kc. This the only way these dumb fucks know how to control crime, aka the murderous negro. Force them out so people (white people) with more money can move in and pay more taxes to give to the developers.

  8. These people are communists. I am almost certain that some of these people behind this are the ones I saw at the anti trump rally at the WW1 memorial when he first got elected. They were marching and waving red flags. Yelling trans lives matter over their loudspeakers.

So, you dont have to tell you where your income is from, if you have been to prison for violence? Seriously? So the landlord through his taxes to the city ends up paying for a lawyer to go against him if he evicts a convict for smoking meth in his rental.

    Kc is just SO progressive!

  9. Kc knows how to win don’t they! Hahahahaha!

  10. This could set up the City subsidizing, oh what did they call those,.... projects.

If that happens everybody's taxes go through the roof because it’s always the good decent honest hardworking taxpayers that have to support these lowlife scum fucks.

  12. I rent houses in KC. I will sell them if this ever become law. It is a business for me. I treat my tenants very well. I don't need the city telling me how to run my business.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Easy fix. 12 months rent in advance. Ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah, I don’t see any reason why the taxpayers should fund lawyers for people who rent houses. Where is the funding for lawyers people who actually own houses; that have to withstand and endure the damage, constant nuisance issues that present when dealing with renters has neighbors? The City cannot create ordinances that sidestep Missouri or Federal law. And all of those so-called protected classes listed in the this bill of rights aren’t actually protected by any law. Eliminating criminal, credit and background checks in housing would also apply to other industries. Unfortunately, you are always judged on your actions or inactions and character and trustworthiness. If you don’t like that rule, trying being a person of good character and integrity - and let’s be clear - not all people with good credit are trustworthy but mostly they do the right thing when it comes to their finances and self-care.

  15. If actual knowledge and common sense are able to overcome the DEMANDS of the "activists" in influencing the mayor and clowncil in making their decision, it will be about the first time in memory.
    Ready, FIRE, aim.
    Unintended consequences be damned!
Let the next batch of electeds try to clean up the mess.
    Hey, worked for Sly!

  16. Landlords are now called Home Providers? Wow, it sounds like a charitable group doesn't it? I love the HP's objections to the tenant rights proposal. They claim they won't be able to screen tenants, and will be FORCED to accept Section 8 vouchers? OMG - The landlords in our neighborhood have NEVER screened their tenants, and they happily accept cash or Section 8 or anything else of value. Hope the tenants get some protection.

  20. What a bunch of crap this is. If I had rental property in this city I would sell it in a New York minute. One million of city tax money to establish an office to enforce this "Bill of Rights". Give it 5 years and it will be staffed by 15 incompetent, uneducated employees. The lawyers are just licking their chops.

  24. good story today on KMBC about greedy jew landlord corp. scamming renters, and it's local employees;

T.E.H. Realty, based in Reading, Pennsylvania, with several connections to Israel, has faced a barrage of complaints from residents and increasing scrutiny from government officials after multiple KMBC 9News investigations into critical fire-code violations, sewage backups and potential mold in apartments.

The employees said management called properties in Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, this week, to inform them they had to delay payroll by a week. T.E.H. Realty investors own 11 low-income properties around the Kansas City metro with 1,600 units.

maybe this movements will help the tenant victims

  25. Last month, un-known to us(we live in another county) we found out that our renter who had been renting for 3 years, was arrested. Police raided our rental home and seized weapons, cash and drugs, mailing receipts, burner phones etc. These were pounds of drugs. Totally shocking. Now, after getting him evicted, we elected to gut the house and will have to replace carpeting sheet rock etc. Even though it was not indicated there was meth cooking, we will not take any chances. SO...Y'all know my thoughts...

  27. You can't tell a landlord not to screen someone that wants to rent from you!!!!! That's like telling a car dealership they can't check your credit but they have to give you the money anyway. And when someone doesn't pay their rent getting them out is hellish and very expensive sometimes. This is the democrat way and does it make sense???? NO Does it protect a criminal or freeloader???? YES
How stupid you democrats are you people are nothing short of CRAZY!

  30. Ask KC Tenants if they would like to put together an Audit Team for the City Budget?

  32. 1st months rent, last months rent, deposit equal to 1 months rent, agent fee equal to 1 month rent (the agent screens the renters), AND proof of income equal to 40X the monthly rent.

And so the $1,000 rental will require a cashiers check of $4,000 and proof of income in excess of $40,000 annually prior to receiving the key. (no credit check required) (and don't forget the deposits for utilities...)

How many of the KC Tenant people have the $5,000 required? How many of the KC Tenant people have proof of income in excess of $40,000 annually?

  33. How come Kansas City "Home Providers" never provided enough homes if these "property owners" were really doing a "public service"? Why are "property owners" are propped up as "civic leaders"? Why have these "Captains Of Industry" not engaged in "public discourse" after all these years?

    ReplyDelete
  34. @11:21 PM. What exactly, real slow, is your point? I mean this in a good way, I want know.

  35. Key part would be all of these whiners have a chance in America to start their own housing . Rent to low lifes like them and then see why no one wants career dead beat losers. Prison offers free housing to the person.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Verification of employment and income is required for tax credit properties; aka, "affordable housing".

How many of the KC Tenant advocates provide verification of employment and income today? How many of the KC Tenant advocates have employment and income today?

Be careful what you ask for... Cash is not king for affordable housing. No verification of employment and income, no housing. No need for a credit check if the prospective tenant cannot provide verification of employment and income.
