A state lawmaker from eastern Missouri is criticizing what he calls the state Department of Transportation's (MoDOT's) incompetence, for its handling of the Veterans Day winter storm. State Rep. 1. What do you expect when you have MoDOT being run by and full of Mizzou engineering school alumni? This is the “university” that came up with roundabouts and diverging Diamond interchanges.

  2. Please hire someone from a heavy winter weather state. North Dakota South Dakota Michigan Minnesota Montana Wyoming. Anyone who's driven the States in winter understand what I am saying. Them boys up there know how to get it done and get it done right. The state of Missouri lacks equipment chemicals and proper training of personnel

  4. You ignorant hillbillies and fragile snowflakes out there have no clue how great MoDOT is during a snowfight. As to the ignorant legislator's driving ability, well, if it is below freezing and there's been precipitation in the past 24 hours, ice forms. If it is in the low 20s or below, salt isn't going to do much good. Be aware and drive with more caution, dumbass!

  5. Must be one of those who voted to reduce spending at MODOT and then has the nerve to complain about the roads. H E L L O this is the midwest and it snows here, and roads become dangerous.

  7. Dude does sound like a whiney non-driving bitch. Had to use the emergency brake on black ice? I'd bet his car has anti-lock brakes which are at least semi effective on ice, much better than pulling the e-brake and having no control at all. Sounds like a pretentious d-bag talking out of his ass. MoDOT, for all their foibles does a remarkably effective job in winter storms. Its tough fighting our weather and the absolute dumbest drivers in the Country all at the same time.
