  3. Sarah is right about "engaging with your customers" though, there'd probably be a fewer Restaurant failures in KC if the "kitchen creatives" paid more attention to their customers and less to their egos.

    And just BTW, if you're a server in KC, paying more attention to your customers results in more income from tips. If everyone you wait on is a "cheapskate", you might want to re-think the amount of time you spend in on-the-job networking with your peers.

  7. Actually, @8:52, I get great service wherever I go, because I tip in the 25-30% range consistently. But that's okay, since I go most often to places that I know offer both good food and service, and consider dining as one of my hobbies.

    If I read about or hear of try a new place that sounds interesting, I'll go, and give them at least two tries. But, if they can't meet at least a basic level of quality and service at either try, then I stop going there.

    While I realize any place can have an off day, I have stopped allowing three strikes, there are just too many good places to eat in Town.

    And thanks for the offer, but I don't fuck trash, so you'll have to ask someone else.
