OPEN THREAD: DEMOCRATIC PARTY DEBATE AS SEEN FROM KANSAS CITY!!!

Their numbers are fading and we're getting just a bit closer to a glimpse at the real contenders.

And so we share these preview links and invite our blog community and fellow news junkies to share perspectives on the merits of the hot talk. Morever . . .

TELL US WHO WON TONIGHT'S DEMOCRATIC PARTY SMACK DOWN!!!

We hope to compile more news on the aftermath for the morning update but this is what we're looking at right now . . .

Mayo Pete Dances Ahead

Buttigieg has target on back in Democratic debate, as he rises in polls

Democratic presidential contender Pete Buttigieg enters Wednesday night's primary debate as a candidate on the rise -- but with the attention and surging poll numbers, he can expect plenty of heat from the rest of the field. He says he's ready.

Turnabout Is Fair Play

Democrats at Debate, Don't Play GOP's "How Will You Pay for It?" Game

I have a simple piece of advice for the 10 Democratic presidential candidates on stage tonight at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prez Trump Fans Tune Out???

Varney: Why TV ratings signal 'real bad news for Democrats' ahead of debate

Fox Business Network host Stu Varney warned Democrats that falling ratings for their 2020 Democratic primary debates signal "real bad news" going into the presidential election. On Wednesday evening, 10 Democratic candidates for president will stand on the stage for the fifth Democratic debate in Atlanta.

DNC Vs. NBC???

2020 Democrats call for investigation into NBC sexual misconduct allegations ahead of debate

Sexual misconduct hasn't been a major issue in the Democratic debates so far this year, despite the prominence of the Me Too movement and the ongoing march of allegations against powerful men. Even a new allegation against President Trump, by prominent author and advice columnist E.

Booze U Can Use

The Official Democratic Debate Drinking Rules, Atlanta Edition

Rolling Stone is pleased to announce the rules for the... wait, which Democratic Party presidential debate is this? The fourth? Fifth? Fiftieth? Has the field grown or shrunk since last time? If I "strangle myself" like Jeffrey Epstein, will I still have to hear about it?

Meet The Vice Prez Contender

The most influential candidate who won't be on tonight's debate stage

"I've clearly influenced the debate on immigration, on police reform, on housing," Castro said in an interview here, after several Democrats appeared at a forum in the oft-forgotten third state in the nominating process. "There has been a focus on people that are left behind, people that are struggling, including an awareness of how race impacts that."

Campaign Machine Infrastructure Is The Key To Victory

All the Democrats in Wednesday's debate are electable. But who has the ground game? | Opinion

Who's the most electable? Candidates and pundits are going to argue that question on Wednesday, during the fifth Democratic debate-but they aren't the ones who will answer it. Voters will. All 10 Democrats on stage in Atlanta have the background, experience and ideas necessary to defeat Donald Trump.

You decide . . .

^^^^^ Nearly the same thing here. Independent voter, former Trump voter. Not really happy with the options this time around. Seems like worse and worser.

Newsweek ??? Is that rag still alive or on-line only. In either case, as relevant as Time. In other words, who in the hell still reads their crap.

Senator Bernie Sanders won before the debate even started. Everyone is just copying his campaign platform.

It depends on what you want. If you want people like Bernie Sanders and his bogus free medicare for all and his non descriptive explanation on how to pay for that when it's impossible to do, and will put companies out of business, then by all means vote for him. If you want to waste more of your tax money on things like fighting Russia hoaxes, 30 year old fake rapes, investigations into protecting money laundering crooks like Biden and his son, then by all means vote for anyone of them.

Are these the people auditioning for the role of Joker in the next Joker movie?

Or we can all just vote for a bankrupt criminal that sleeps around with pornstars and watches TV all day.

Trump can't govern for 4 more years. He has stop appointing replacement cabinet members and can't find people to take jobs in his White House now.

We should be having 24/7 impeachment hearings right here in KCMO to drain the local swamp at this point.

Sad.

Biden won. That's actually encouraging. Proves that the Democratic Party hasn't lost its mind and is actually getting serious about winning an election for once.
