It's been four decades since the redevelopment corporation Dixon heads was created by the Black Economic Union of Greater Kansas City to revitalize the neighborhood south of Kansas City's jazz district.

ReplyDeleteITs all true, Dixon is a con artist who gets by playing the race card, he took money, screwed people over and expects the city to hand him money for his scams that don’t produce. Nobody wants any part of his lyin crooked ways.

ReplyDeleteTired of sending money to this area. $100 million and you can't even keep the exhibits in working order. Lazy. Most of the visitors are school groups who don't give a shit. But I guess the city council would probably be called racist if they don't bend over.
ReplyDeleteOnly been there twice since they redid it in the '90s. Really no good places to eat. Nothing entertaining. Just two museums and a theatre that interest me. Honestly, if they turned the Gem into a grindhouse play old movies from back in the day I'd go.

The fact that a ridiculous "proposal" by a couple well-known grifters would even be presented to KCMO city hall shows why the reputation of the electeds as clueless, gutless, and easily-rolled is so very well-deserved.

With Smart Business Owners .You can't keep Putting money into a project that will never work.The Restaurants and entertainment in Downtown is over saturated. And People are concerned about crime.Just walking to your vehicle. Any where in the Metro you have to be careful.
