KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A Kansas City school district is increasing the pay of its substitute teachers in a move to address a shortage that is plaguing classrooms around the metro. 1. Wow, a whopping $12 an hour, no wonder there’s a teacher shortage.

If a substitute teacher leaves Center High with $130 at 4PM, driving due east at 50mph in a vehicle that gets 25m/gal, where do they run out of gas and at what time???

(assuming a full tank of 15 gal. at 4PM, and gas costs $2.40/gal)

  3. Assuming the first tank was full when leaving school they’d run out of gas 38.5 miles short of Atlantic City NJ at 12:45 the following afternoon.
