Judge upholds University of Missouri ban on guns on campus
COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - A judge has upheld the University of Missouri's ban on carrying concealed guns on campus. Circuit Judge Jeff Harris on Monday rejected the arguments from Missouri's attorney general that the ban violated the state's constitution. He also said the ban supports the university's interest in promoting safety on its campuses.
This will be appealed and the judge told to STFU.
ReplyDeleteLook at it this way
ReplyDeleteYou have a right own a gun. Good
The flip side is that a place of business or institution have the right to not allow a gun on its property. That doesnt infringe on your right to own a gun, just dont bring it here
A public university is not a private institution and is not afforded those rights. This ruling will easily be overruled on appeal
