Kansas Catholics tie Medicaid expansion support to abortion policy

The largest Catholic dioceses in Kansas conditioned political support Wednesday for legislation expanding Medicaid health insurance to 130,000 low-income adults and children on passage of a constitutional amendment and new state law curtailing abortion services.

  1. Did I read this correctly. Kansas Catholics want a constitutional abortion ban and if they don't get it they don't give a crap about health care for the poor? Not surprisingly, I'm sure Naumann's proud of that stance.
