More than 100 show up at job fair for Missouri's new 'budding growth industry'

NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Medical marijuana is on its way to Missouri, and that means so are new jobs. On Tuesday, between 100 and 200 job seekers turned out for a first-of-its-kind job fair in the Kansas City area. Between 3,500 and 4,000 people are expected to be directly employed in the cannabis industry in 2020 in Missouri.

The present situation where residents in some states can legally purchase marijuana for recreational purposes in a retail setting, while residents of other states are imprisoned for mere possession of marijuana is indefensible, & unacceptable.
