Kansas City Sunday Refugee Story Revealed

During the X-mas season the plebs send hate back and forth to one another regarding the immigration status of Jesus Christ.

For the record, check the law for the land and a record low number that achieves a campaign promise:

Time: In Dramatic Decrease, Trump Administration Caps Refugees to Be Taken in by U.S. in 2020 at 18,000

Meanwhile, even lazy Catholics like TKC have been issued guidance on this contentious topic by the Pope . . .

Vatican City — Even if Christians struggle to recognize him with his "torn clothes (and) dirty feet," Jesus is present in the migrants and refugees who seek safety and a dignified life in a new land, Pope Francis said.

If Jesus' words, "Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me," are true, the pope said, then "we must begin to thank those who give us the opportunity for this encounter, namely, the 'others' who knock on our doors, giving us the possibility to overcome our fears in order to encounter, welcome and assist Jesus in person."

That's not just an insight from the current hippie Pontiff . . . A far more revered Catholic cleric felt the same way:

"But if you still don’t want to listen to Pope Francis, then listen to Pope John Paul II, St. John Paul II, who wrote dozens of times about refugees and migrants. 'Seek to help our brother and sister refugees in every possible way by providing a welcome…Show them an open mind and a warm heart,' he said. And as if predicting our current situation, he said, 'It is necessary to guard against the rise of new forms of racism or xenophobic behavior, which attempt to make these brothers and sisters of ours scapegoats for what may be difficult local situations.'"

And so, in that spirit whilst confessing that TKC has played the role of local yokel and been party to a more than a few gas station shouting matches with strangers in this strange land . . . Nevertheless, in theory at least, we acknowledge better angels working to help visitors achieve the American dream as we share this clip . . .

Description:

Finding Refuge in KC takes us inside the homes and lives of five refugees who are giving back to the community that received them. A young Congolese man leads his college student government. A loving Somali mother helps new arrivals like herself. A Syrian family is grateful for Kansas City’s welcoming spirit and its medical expertise. A former refugee from Europe is a beloved restaurateur. And a Vietnamese businessman regales his customers with a soulful version of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”

Of course we hope to have more for the morning update but for now here's the mini-movie as we thank readers for joining us through our Sunday updates:

  1. Glad you at least noted the current laws that are restricting the flow of immigration which is the right of every nation.

  4. I have no problem with immigration as long as none of them are Middle Easterners, Africans, Asians or Mexicans. Unless they are hot young sluts.

  5. "ALL THINGS IN MODERATION" -- words from an old wise man

The problem with political discourse regarding immigration into the United States is that few within the Democratic Party recognize there must be limits, or a controlled flow of immigrants into the country.

During one of the recent "debates", every Democrat on the stage pledged free healthcare, etc., for everyone who can make it across the border. They seek to incentivize those who violate our law by sneaking into the country. What would happen if millions upon millions of the indigent from China, India, and Africa could more easily reach our shores and circumvent our immigration laws? What these Democrats promote would lead to the destruction of our nation.

As for the Pope, let me know when Vatican City opens it's doors to the millions of displaced Muslims from the Obama/Clinton foreign policy debacles in Syria, Libya, etc. I won't be holding my breath.

  12. 18,000 immigrants = 17,500 Russian Agents and 500 Jews.
(Or, with the current Administration's typical accounting,
    18,000 Immigrants = 28,000 Russian Agents and 7,500 Jews.)
