KANSAS CITY QUESTION: WOULD JESUS & PREZ TRUMP VOTE TO SAVE THE PASEO?!?!

Quick moment of Kansas City contemplation tonight . .

Without question there are very fine people on both sides of the debate betwixt MLK Blvd Vs. Save The Paseo.

Supporters of both positions call upon a higher power to justify their political goals.

Of course the Revs and many 3rd District denizens see their struggle as an ongoing facet of the American Civil Rights movement and, truly, a higher calling rooted in their Christian faith.

Meanwhile, we notice a DEEPLY AMERICAN POPULIST sentiment in the arguments from the Save the Paseo crowd which speak to the broad and DIVERSE support for Prez Trump that ultimately led to his historic election victory.

But let's not make assumptions too quickly . . .

It would be sacrilege to forget that the Big JC was ultimately betrayed and led to slaughter by members of his own faith community.

And whilst the Prez loves a great rally . . . He's also friends with Kanye and surprising support from Black voters, ministers and celebrities has powered his ascendancy.

It's nearly impossible to say who Jesus or Prez Trump would pick in this contest but that won't stop local keyboard social media warriors from trying.

Here's the only thing that polling and history tell us for sure . . .

Voter turnout expected to be low for Tuesday's election

And so, whilst these local and national questions of policy plauge the plebs, let's not forget that international corporations are selling the nation down the river to China.

And we're curious to see any speculation on the outcome of this vote and if Jesus or Prez Trump can save Kansas City.

You decide . . .

  2. Trump could do something for the city with all his money. Jesus would want something for free.

  3. THERE ARE THOSE WHO KNOW THE BIBLICAL TEACHINGS, AND THOSE WHO PRETEND TO KNOW THEM

    1) You DO NOT honor the memory of MLK Jr. by taking a long-time existing street name and forcibly changing it under the guise of honoring a man who would disapprove of this action.

    Matthew 7:12 ESV
"So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."

Shall we forcibly change the name of Rev. Vernon Howard's church?

Shall we forcibly change the name of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference?

Is it strange that the KC branch of the SCLC honored the KC branch of the NAACP "for their advocacy and activism on ensuring a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race."

Was the Paseo name changed in a manner respecting the rights of all individuals affected, or were the existing rules violated while dirty politics was played to force the change?

Dr. King weeps at the misguided actions and egotism on display by those who purport to honor his memory.

  4. Better question:

Will they ever build a Trump hotel in Kansas City?

Now THAT is something that would actually benefit the city.

  5. Both would want the Paseo name restored to the street.

  6. Sly James claim to fame is he demoralized the Kansas City enough to give up on voting.

  7. Jesus is not real... made up fictional chapter. There’s a reason so-called. Resurrection isn’t more commonplace than a million years ago. It never happened or those crucified were never absolutely dead. Not one person in modern day has ever been truly resurrected from the dead. Not one. Death is final.
